The headline reads:
Notre Dame Football: Enter Sandman Is Trash And Other Reasons To Stop Fearing Blacksburg
I found this article while browsing Twitter, and decided to take a read, even though the first bold point was tough to not break my laptop.
Take a glance at the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th bolded headlines though. He's not wrong with any of these.

Virginia Tech has not beat a ranked opponent inside CRAZY DEATH HOLE LANE STADIUM since 2009. TWO THOUSAND AND NINE Y'ALL. They are 0-6 over the past 9 years when a ranked team has invaded Blacksburg.
Over the past 5 years, Virginia Tech is 19-12 at home against all opponents (2013-2017). A WHOPPING 9 of those wins have come against non Power 5 schools:
This is the kind of stuff that can be hung up in the locker room to BRING BACK THE TERROR DOME, because - at the end of the day - he has a point.
And we must bring back the Terror Done this weekend.

Comments
This thread is right on the line of posting something other outlets have written just for the sake of riling up the community.
That being said I'll give this person their points about our home record, but I will not give them Enter Sandman being trash or my precious clicks.
I hesitated to post it for that reason in our guidelines, but when we look beyond the top portion of the article - which would rile anyone up - the rest of the article brings up valid points, and something I do not think we have discussed.
We all knew we have struggled to win big games at home in recent memory - now is the perfect time to right the ship.
The Enter Sandman comment aside, the rest of the points brought up are objective fact. If it riles you up then to me that's more a comment on the VT Football program of the last five years than on the writer of that article.
It's been too long since VT had a big signature win at home, particularly in prime time.
This all gets back to the point another thread had earlier about it just being time for a big win in Lane. Sure we aren't expected to win, but at some point this program needs to get back to being a feared team to play. We are steadily losing that reputation and the stats objectively back that up.
We hired Fuente to bring this program back to the level it has been and we know it can be. To do that he needs to win games like the one we have Saturday.
Is this there version of Hatin' On?
Almost feels like it, but then he's got facts and what not in there. Kinda?
Gee, I wonder what rock the author has been living under? Over-rated ranking and Notre Dame are synonymous.
Yeah, tell them to look up their record versus ranked teams on the road...
http://www.thekeyplay.com/content/2018/october/2/notre-dames-bad-road-record-against-teams-were-ranked-kickoff
Yea but you should have a better home record than away record
The author makes some good points but nearly invalidates his whole article with the first line. If he just eliminates the insult at the beginning we would all be complimenting his article. That author is trash and people should stop reading. (see, sticking the insult at the end once the sound points have been made is much more palatable)
I mean, you cant invalidate objective facts with an insult. No matter how bad.
Your-talking-to-my-guy-all-wrong.-It's-the-tone.gif
Only because I couldn't find a non-pixelated version from the work computer.
I have no idea what gif you are referring to here.
Who is your go to fictional character to fantasize about in the shower?
Hmm, interesting choice.
Very 2.5 hrs slick with the ninja edit! LOL! 😂
I don't know what you are talking about...whistles
I mean he's a rocker, through and through. A fan of Van Halen, not Van Hagar. And he drives a hemi so...
Some jokester over there trying to start up a little message board war:
Hatin' On is a bonafide rundown of opposing head coaches and I will not stand for this.
I agree, there are a whole lot of facts in the Hatin' On thread. Most notably:
Brian Kelly killed a guy.
Sooooo that means some of the information is true... time to start weeding out the facts!
Also he sucks his thumb with his butthole.
Brian Kelly... but seriously it's his fault that guy died and it's pretty tragic.

inaccurate information? so wait, does that mean brian kelly does not bet on espn classic games??
He totally does and only wins about 45% of the time.
For those who don't want to click, it's teally more of a Fifth-Fuller-lite (no one can match the genuine thing) style article on an ND fan-site, so yeah - little over the top.
But I really had no idea it had been that long since a ranked win at home. If anything's garbage it's that. I think I'm tipping my self over into irrational belief-mode because WE HAVE TO WIN THIS GAME FUCK NOTRE DAME EXIT LIGHT ENTER BIG-TIME WIN MODE
I have actually mentioned this same stuff years ago, before Beamer left.
We have been a highly disappointing team at home and overall, have been a better road team for roughly the past 10 years.

Tbh even pre-2013 we didn't beat any big-time out-of-conference teams at home. Sure, we cleaned up vs the whole ACC, but even the Nebraska win that we hype up so much was against a lower-ranked team. Fuente has to start winning these Notre Dame type of games to make a new mark here.
As I broke it down yesterday, they have noooooooo room to talk when it comes to futility against ranked opponents, especially going into a road game. None. Their last road win over a ranked opponent was 2015 against Temple. Before then, a couple vacated wins in 2012, and before then? 2007 against UCLA. So.... yeah....
They do have two ranked wins at home already this year and our DL just went from copy paper to page-of-the-bible thin. Our secondary is going to have to play its best game of the year or Bud is going to have to dial up some pressure with the LBs. I thought maybe Bud could use the "Bear" front with a LB lined up at the LOS, but I don't think we have the DBs to play man-to-man with ND all night to make it work.
We also have two ranked wins on the road this year
Not reading the article, and facts aside, the tone of these excerpts makes this guy sound like a major asshole.
WE WILL RISE AND CONQUER
Prolapsed even
Also, ew.
Prolapse is the ranking between Colonel and Major right? Abbreviated Pr. "Pr. Asshole"
Thats probably how people view the satirical authors on this site funnily enough.
Perspective is a fascinating thing.
This was the most contradictory thing I have ever read. He keeps saying he "likes" something but also hates it. ND education at its finest.
Some comments rag on him and assume he went to Eastern Michigan. They're snoody to their own fans.
Also, these pricks said Enter sandman sucks... lets kick their Irish ass all the way back to South Bend.
You people made me sign up for another message board so I can talk shit.
Good job guys.
Whoa whoa whoa "you people"?
You know. 'You people.'
all'y'all with orange and maroon blood coursing through your veins. just like me.
This movie is grossly under-rated.
My response
I really don't think the article is that bad other than the random hatred for the song...
Which, fine, he hates the song. But he CANNOT refute the entrance and the atmosphere when the team comes onto the field.
What does Notre Dame even do for their entrance?
I found it.
Shocker! It's lame.
When does it get exciting? Waiting....waiting.....it doesn't happen. Brian Kelly jams to Spyro Gyra in his Honda Ridgeline on his way to home football games.
The smoke was exciting, right?
...how fun............
My God that was boring! Rakes of Mallow? Yeah that'll get you fired up!
I literally fell asleep during this video. Granted it was a long day at work but seriously nap inducing.
Are they playing "It's a small world after all" for the entrance music?
Outside of the slander of the "rocking-st entrance" that the author spewed, GET OUT OF HERE WITH ALL THESE FACTS YOU FACT...SPEWER. STATS ARE FOR NERDS.
Yep... the Hokies. Tough defensive team with great uniforms
I stopped reading right here. He's giving us WAY too much credit. We haven't had great uniforms since 2004 and I'll die on this hill.
#metoo
I in NO way mean this to belittle or minimize the struggles experienced by people dealing with actual #metoo issues, but it's friday afternoon and I've been drinking.
One Foot Down is also a poor name for their site, its too generic for a school with such a long history. Hopefully we can help them out by making it more specific when we put One Foot Down and the other Up Their Ass this weekend!
You know how you live down a reputation for losing big games? Win the next big one...
LET'S GO!!!!!!
If Lane Stadium wasn't a tough environment to play in, why has ND been prepping for the noise since the summer? Just saying.
The really funny part is that Kelly thought they couldnt handle the Miami crowd and that's why they got embarrassed there.
If you think Miami is a tough place to play, I have 3 words-
WELCOME. TO. BLACKSBURG.
You know what else hasn't been done? Notre Dame beating Virginia Tech at football. 😎
