Does anyone know what time they will let you start tailgating in Lot 9? I'd like to start around 1 or 2pm this Thursday. I think officially the lots open at 5pm. Anyone been able to start earlier in that lot? I just want to make sure our crew is well hydrated before the game :)

You will be able to get into Lot 9 whenever you want on Thursday. They probably won't even be monitoring it until 2-3.
Mathematically, Lot 9 is half as fun as 18. FYI.

We've gotten into 9 at about 8-9 AM and that wasn't early enough to secure our normal spot from some non-regulars.
In short, get there as early/late as you'd like.
How early do the public lots fill up for a Thursday night game? Making the drive up from Charlotte.
This will be my first game in over 4 years. I would love to meet up with some of you guys and put a name with the faces....

If you want to come over to 18, I will not be there until sometime afternoon but several of the others will be there early. We will also be in lite setup mode for this; not the normal frill of the Satellite dish and trailer as it will all be down the hill at Martinsville. But we will be there!

Since we've only had two home games and the timing has worked perfectly for my sister and her boys from Charlotte, I've been meeting up with them for the previous games. I'll be in the Lot for Thursday (assuming I don't hit egregious traffic).
They keep telling me I'll be 3 rails deep by the time the tailgate starts. If true, there is a good chance I'll be dead. If I'm still amongst the living, however, I'll try to remember to take the unicorn off your hands.
Rails before a Football Game are never going to end well. Rails before anything else are not going to end well.
I probably won't get to Lot 9 until about 5:00
