Gambling Lines, Week 9

And now for this week's installment of Hokie07ME Should Not Gamble:

It's my favorite when the last game of the night and the one that I think is the biggest lock of the week is the one that blows up my parlay. As an aside, I also took anOSU (-13), so yeah not happy with Purdue. Thankfully, other than a shot in the dark bet on Wake and a surprisingly close Syracuse-UNCheat game, I had a good weekend that didn't include anOSU.

Now on to this week's lines:
GT (+3) @ VT. You read that right, our season is going so well that if we were at a neutral location, this game would be a push. Eff that, it's high time we put Paul Johnson in his place. Taking VT (-3). If we don't beat them by more than a field goal, I'll be depressed anyway
Indiana (-2.5) @ Minnesota. Remember how last week I said Minnesota must really suck for Nebraska to be favored over them? Well big red blew out the fighting...gophers? (I could google that but I won't). This seems too close. I'm taking Indy.
Wake Forest (+2.5) @ Louisville. Battle for the basement of the ACC. No matter how stupid awful the coastal is this year, we don't have a team as bad as either of these two and for that we can be thankful.
Purdue (+2.5) @ Michigan State. So is Purdue due for a let down game after knocking of anOSU (we know how that goes) or are they criminally under appreciated against a disappointing MSU squad?
Vandy (-1.5) @ Arkansas. To all my die hard razorback fan cousins: HA

As always, please do not take my ramblings as legitimate gambling advice. You will lose your shirt and anything else you're foolish enough to bet based on my idiocy. TKP does not encourage gambling and even if it did, I am neither employed nor sanctioned by Orange and Maroon Media, LLC so who cares.

also of note: the Clemson over/under is 51. Clemson games have hit 48 in every P5 contest. I gotta believe they run up the score on this and beat FSU worse than they beat NCSU last week (41-7).

West Virginia-13.5 against an average Baylor team

Bet on some road games this week. I've got:

Clemson -17 @ FSU
Navy +23.5 @ Notre Dame
Oregon -9.5 @ Arizona
Kentucky +7 @ Mizzou

I'm going heavy on Clemson. Let's hope this isn't their week to return to klempsoning:
Clemson (-16.5) - they beat NCSU by 34 and I think NCSU is better than FSU
Clemson/FSU over 51 parlayed withOklahoma/Kansas State over 64
I've got Clemson ML as part of my 8-leg "bet on all the heavy favorites because upsets don't happen in college football" parlay.

Disclaimer- my total betting outlay per week is $10. So it's more to increase my interest in other games rather than to make a buck (well, maybe literally a buck).

Wow, Indiana almost came back from not playing at all in the first half. Unfortunately, losing is losing...

I parlayed Kentucky ML and Syracuse (+2.5). Kentucky eeked out the win and Syracuse is leading NCSU but it's early. Would make a nice ending to the evening if dungey&Co could pull this off.
