Gambling Lines, Week 10

This past weekend is the kind that makes people who deep down want to quit gambling kill that little voice inside and lay down another week's worth of bets. Seriously, best weekend I've had since labor day when I staked my whole betting account on VT (-6) @ FSU. I broke even on the weekend with Clemson (-16.5) and UGa (-6.5) and then saw both legs of two different parlays hit. One of those had the Kentucky ML which they salvaged on the last play of the game and the other had Oklahoma/Kansas State hit the over at 64 (which by gametime was set at 66 and they only hit 65, so dodged a bullet there). All told it was a good enough weekend for me to come back up to a little better than even on the season. A wiser man would quit while he's ahead, but then I'd miss my chance at actually making some money this season!

That's enough life destroying peer pressure. Now on to this week's lines!

• Syracuse (-4.5) @ Wake Forest. Holy shit. What does Syracuse have to do to earn respect from Vegas? They just hung 561 yards and 51 points on NC State. I know it was in the Carrier dome, but you can't tell me Winston-Salem is that intimidating of an away game (you went there didn't you?)
• GT (-4.5) @ UNCheat. What makes me sad about this line is that it's probably spot on. Just like ODU, GT will resume their embarrassingly bad season after whipping our tails.
• Bama (-14) @ LSU. The real betting line for this game is how many minutes into the second half before Saban pulls Tua and puts in the backup. This could be the first game all season where Tua sees 4th quarter minutes.
• Duke (+9) @ Miami. Honestly, Miami has been underwhelming. Their best win was a squeaker past over-hyped punching bag, FSU. Duke has beaten Baylor and Northwestern at least. I say they both sit at 2-3 in the ACC when the dust settles. Duke ML for me.
• BC (-2) @ VT. I don't know what to think of this line. It seems too close. I think BC (-6.5) sounds closer to reality, but whatever. The over is 57.5 and I'm leaning towards taking that bet in the off chance that our offense can put up some points and the much less off chance that Dillon carves us up on the ground. 38-28 does not sound like a crazy score in this game.
• Pitt (+7) @ LOLUVa. I still can't wrap my head around the fact that LOLUVa is favored against anyone. But, then again, Pitt sucks so there you have it. Either I see Narduzzi lose his shit or I see LOLUVa come crashing back to earth. I'm cool with either at this point. In the grand scheme of things, the only Wahoo loss I really care about is coming on Black Friday.
