Throwback uniforms in hopes of a throwback defensive performance?
Normally, I'm all about these uniform reveals.
But not this week. Just win the damn game. Or at least look somewhat competent if we're going to lose. Not trying to set the bar too high, but after last week, I just want to see us look like we have a pulse. They could wear polka dot tops and striped pants for all I care, just play better.
I mean. The uniform reveal is entirely irrelevant to how we are gonna play. It's not like Fuente and staff are pulling hours from coaching to compare uniform ideas.
Kinda looks like UCF's cosmic look they're wearing tonight.
The pinstripe pants are actually not bad
Actually I really LIKE the pinstriped pants. Take away the FULL MEASELES jersey, and replace with the standard maroon one with a very small section of pinstripes on the lower shoulder pad, leave the socks as is. Now we are in business!
FWIW, I didn't hate the UCF jerseys last night.

White facemasks are slick. And I don't think we've seen those chromed facemasks that got leaked in the preseason yet. Wonder when those may turn up.
I'm pretty sure they are the white helmet's facemasks - which were worn for W&M and ODU.
No wonder I don't remember them.

I'd love to see us go back to this look. Just modernize it a little bit. I love different color numbers on the sleeves.
I've liked the new design less and less as the season as progressed. I like the white jersey, but I'm not a fan of the home maroon.

I love these helmets - I think they should be our standard home helmet.
This is the combo we should go back to. The Vick uniforms with those helmets.
Vick could of worn orange on orange on orange and it woulda still looked good. Googling all this pics is the most I've enjoyed Tech football this year. Damn... did I just say that out loud...
A perfect combo for this day game. I love the "throwback" look for a non-Effect Homecoming game.
This is the first Homecoming game since 2011 that hasn't been an Orange or Maroon Effect.
Also, we wore the white facemasks last year vs. BC (and won).
Considering some of the train wrecks we've had with uniforms recently, these dont look so bad any more.

Agree, but at the time it was such a major shock to what we had traditionally worn there were many that couldn't handle it.
I always thought they looked good. The base version (without the O/M shoulders, just the M) looked best - still have great memories of how that looked while Adibi was busy running back an INT to seal the ACCCG.
I always liked them. I could do without the orange line going around the front of the jersey but the orange sleeve with the maroon helmet and maroon face mask are slick
#1 VT uniform of all time. Only ones that come close are the Tyrod era orange pits.

Man, I thought I disliked the new uni design overall before this season started... I really hate em now. With each loss they just seem to look sillier.
