Well my flight from Charlotte to Roanoke was delayed. Then because of the weather they had to take 15 people off the flight. Well I was one of those people. Now I'm stuck in the airport till at least 8pm.
Anyone have suggestions for what to do here? Also still need dinner recommendations for Roanoke or that area for a late dinner?
MADE IT ON THE FLIGHT so where is dinner and where is anybody watching the PITT LOLUVA Game tonight?

That's a bummer :( If you dont want to wait until Roanoke for dinner, can highly recommend Bad Daddy's Burger Bar - excellent burgers (in the airport) and get the tots! I used to live in Charlotte and traveled through that airport a lot.
Good luck and safe travels!
Have them give you money for a rental and drive. You will reach the Roanoke airport before 8.
It's weather related. It was either take a voucher for a flight at some future point or get bounced from the flight and not fly out till tomorrow.
So I took voucher and 7:55 flight instead of get bounced and fly tomorrow.
At SML and heading to Roanoke for a dinner...can attest the weather is shit.
Bar crawl... recruit some fellow passengers on your delayed flight
Noda has a beer garden dont theym N?
Go to Beamer's in Roanoke. Awesome burgers and good beer options. Jack Brown's is a good look as well for both of the aforementioned things.
Jack Brown's is so damn good. Never been to the one in Roanoke, but if it's half as good and twice as large as the one in Harrisonburg it's a must-do.
The one in Roanoke is a shoe box. Even if you can find a table it feels like you are practically sitting back to back with the tables behind you.
Oh, but it's worth it though.
Love me some Jack Brown's
Not a big fan.
Wassena City is pretty good once you get to Roanoke. Great beer selection and the food is pretty solid, though they cook their burgers with onions diced into them, which for my five year palette is icky.
Old Stone Steakhouse for food in Belmont and then next door to The Jailhouse for cigars and bourbon. Both owned by Hokies!
So I found my way to the Homeplace. It's filled with Hokies.
Update can barely walk after that
That's what she said.
Parents took me and my wife to a restaurant in downtown for my wife's birthday...8 BC fans came in when we were finishing and they were walking stereotypes holy moly.
I didn't know BC had enough fans to be a stereotype (other than being disguised as empty seats at their home stadium). Or are they just stereotypical Bostonians?
The latter lol heavy accents, funny, and "hey guys, sorry but we're loud" was their proclamation when they walked into the room
