LSU Running Back ALLEGEDLY Shaves Points in Arkansas win

Brossette Fucks over 80% of Gamblers

I'm livid. The guy claims to have made the decision to win the game, but his coach wanted him in the end zone. They could have kneeled the ball and killed the clock just the same. How the hell is being up 14 worse than running out the clock? You win either way. I don't believe for a second an RB intentionally stays out of the end zone twice in the name of killing the clock, especially with how poorly Arkansas has been playing. Somebodies uncle just got himself a shiny new truck and a paper bag full of cash in the glove box.

It's been a shitty weekend for me, football and things that matter a whole lot more, but the last thing I saw before going to bed was this Asshole20 year old completely innocent and totally mischaracterized kid disobeying his coach and his QB just to cost a lot of people a lot of money. Fuck that guy My life.

Todd Gurley did this against Green Bay a few weeks ago. It is the smart play. Why give the ball back to the other team? They could score quick and then recover an onside kick to score again.

"For those who have passed, for those to come, reach for excellence."

Arkansas has no timeouts and the second slide was with less than 30 seconds left. That logic does not apply here. Also, his coach wanted him to score

Sure, we're talking about a .00001% chance to win vs. a 0% chance to win, but why would you give the opponent any life? And Coach O is a moron when it comes to game management/Xs & Os. Have you ever heard that man speak? He is there as a hype man and nothing more.

It's gambling. You probably shouldn't go into it expecting to win money.

There's always a lighthouse. There's always a man. There's always a city.

It's not even about he money. First off, I put $4 on this game, hardly breaking the bank. Second, if his coach had called victory formation, I would be annoyed but whatever, you playto win the game and that's all they needed to win the game. But his coach is on record saying h called the run instead because he wanted more points. This kid took it upon himself to stay out of the end zone...twice.

I've seen some interesting hills to die on, on TKP, and died on a few myself, including a similar scenario when D Hall didn't score years back against Dallas....

But venting on a VT football message board about a $4 gambling bet that has nothing to do with VT football, while also insulting the running back?

So many responses in my head, but I'll just say I'm dumbfounded.

His decision was made after a phone call with longtime Virginia Tech assistant coach Bud Foster. All Foster told him was, "We win. They don't."

I really don't think a 20 year old was thinking about thousands of people's bets in the heat of competition. Outright accusing a kid of point shaving on a public forum isn't really a good look.

Dude, you're the asshole, and Joe should delete this post.

Well, you're certainly entitled to your opinion. And joe or VTGM is certainly entitled to delete this.

I get pretty confused about the stuff people get upset over these days.

Should you have called the guy an a-hole? Probably not, could have been worded a lot better, but I don't understand all the downvotes. I'd be pissed about that, too.

I understand we don't want to turn into a TSL, but if folks keep going overboard with the policing it'll shut down a lot of good insight and conversation.
