Now that we know that we have 3:30 kick off, I want to make this week's lot 18 tailgate a Thanksgiving tailgate. At the BC tailgate, I mentioned this and most everybody agreed they wanted to do it. I have already bought a 14 lb turkey that I am going to smoke at the tailgate. Whoever wants to join in, let's start a list of sides to bring and we will have a full Thanksgiving dinner next Saturday. Danny Coale is my spirit animal said he would bring the mashed potatoes.

I think I'm switching to southern green beans. The southern part is the bacon I use to cook up with the beans. It makes them healthier for you.

Ok... So what I meant was: We will probably not have "Official" TOTS rails due to ABC laws that say that they can't be delivered to other locations. It is possible that people may create their own rails....

This is what I was told is in a Rail by a former bartender. He worked there right after it was renamed TOTS after "The Balcony" years.
"It was a 32oz plastic cup, filled with ice. Then we put a 1-2 count of each liquor on our rail (vodka, rum, gin, triple sec, tequila, bourbon, coffee liquor (I could swear there was an eighth, but that may be from other jobs I've had that count whiskey separate from bourbon) Then we added grenadine, lime juice, all the sodas and juices from the guns. (coke, sprite, ginger ale, OJ, pineapple, cranberry, grapefruit) If any of the bottles emptied while making multiple rails....oh well."
I'm making my first trip to Lane in quite some time. Looking forward to stopping by Lot 18 and meeting some of you "fine" folk.
So as of right now, this is the Lot 18 Thanksgiving Menu:
Put us down for broccoli/cheddar/rice casserole, cranberry sauce, and corn.
I believe our main plan is to grill up some Ham Steaks to go with the rest of everything. We will have our normal assortment of random crap too.
I'll be sending tots and pears.
I'll be sending best wishes! I wish I could join you all, if only to say hi, but work is (understandably) Black Friday, so I have to work at least a half day to get my holiday pay for Thanksgiving Day. That means working until 1 then trying to get into Lot 2 by 2 for mom's shuttle to pick her up.
It all sounds delicious, though, and I hope everyone enjoys it!

I just put my Hungarian chicken bacon lemon grits in the toaster freezer. That should give it a good ten hours to coagulate before dinner tomorrow. It's an old family recipe so it should turn out great!
