PETA pisses me off to no end. There is some scientific evidence that meat consumption is linked to all sorts of cancers and meat production is the most inefficient means we have of harvesting food (takes several pounds of edible food to obtain one pound of meat), but PETA goes about it all wrong and cause people to revolt against the idea of eating less meat. They are a negative effect to the means they are trying to achieve.
That's because PETA's agenda is political. They don't give a shit about yours or anyone else's "health".
What is their political motivation? Get an animal elected? Ruin the meat packing industry? Being against animal cruelty is a good thing, I think they are just a bunch of hippies that have taken it too far and lost their way.
