Fuente Confirms Second Achilles Injury for Jeremy Webb

  1. That sucks Webb was only ONE DAY away from returning to football activities when this happened. The former 4-star JUCO CB signed with the Hokies in part because of the opportunity to contribute right away. And now the wait is longer.
  2. Based on the recovery time of the first injury, perhaps he's looking at about a 6-month window to return. Fuente touched on that a bit.

"Jeremy is going to make it back," Fuente said. "It won't be in the spring, but he'll be back in the summer and ready to go. It's not unprecedented that people have come back from two of these. Obviously, it's not something that happens everyday, but there have been guys that have gone on to have good athletic careers that have had two."

Get well soon big dawg.

Poor guy! And it's his other Achilles. Any details on how it happened?

I've cringed at Achilles injuries ever since Pet Cemetary.

It's so loud it is terrifying. Guy busted his next to me on basketball court and I ducked.
