BLACKSBURG - Virginia Tech coach Justin Fuente had a big hand in shaping the team's 2019 signing class on the recruiting trail.

The Hokies are set to sign the majority of their latest recruiting class when the early signing period starts on Wednesday.

Many of those names credit their interactions with Fuente as key factors in picking the Hokies.

Some really unique insight to Coach Fuente.

Gary faces a six-month rehab process, but that isn't Fuente's concern.

"When the injury first happened, he didn't say, 'damn, how is he going to play football.' He was just seeing if I was OK," Gary said. "I just had a home visit with them and coach Fuente was just telling me even if I don't play another down of football, your offer is still good with us and we are going to take care of you."

Good stuff ! Coach Fuente puts a lot of time into visits something that's been helping our recruiting that's for sure

One of the bright spots this season is that coach will be able to say to recruits, look when I said early playing time I wasn't blowing smoke
