OT: Awesome Mr. Grinch Rendition by Small Town Titans

My coworker played college ball with the guitarist and showed this to me yesterday. It's fantastic.

The guys voice is fantastic for the song.

Yeah his vocal range is insane. His rendition of Spoonman is great as well.

I'm currently listening to Piano Man. This guy is talented!

This song he wrote for his mom who passed away from cancer is really good>

Moving.
My 17 year old nephew died of brain cancer. He'd be 21 now.

That's a powerful song. Thanks for sharing. I need to check these guys out.

That's an awesome cover, Chris Cornell is a legend with difficult vocals to emulate and that guy killed it. Thanks for sharing

This sounds like TOOL covered Spoon Man, with guest vocals from M. Shadows from Avenged Sevenfold (pre-throat surgery).

That's a compliment.

dude slayed it. great share. thx

Wow, fantastic!

That is Mike Patton level range.

Definitely not my genre, which is why I am reminded of Silverchair or Pearl Jam (probably the only similar sounds I've ever listened to regularly)

(edit: yes, I like the performance)

-What we do is, if we need that extra push, you know what we do? -Put it up to fully dipped? -Fully dipped. Exactly. It's dork magic.

They did a nice job with that.

The lead vocalist nailed it.

killer voice and nicely done!

I envy anyone who can sing and play bass at the same time. For the most part, I cannot.

Guy does have a great voice, though I thought he perhaps overdid it a bit a time or two. The instrumentals were really funky and made an already slinky song really cool.
As for playing bass and singing, that's what ended my very brief attempt to play bass. I didn't have much of a voice, but it was all we had and I just couldn't do 'em both. Wish I'd given up singing and just learned the bass. Regrets.

first and foremost, my voice has the tonal quality of a tin roof.

when desperate times call for desperate measures I'll attempt a few harmonies...if it doesn't conflict with the rhythm of what I'm playing

They have a great sound, but after exploring their stuff, I find I like their covers more than their originals. That's really common with small indie bands, and if they hooked up with the right producer I think they could make it. That lead singer alone could carry most bands. It just seems like he shows off more on covers.
