Set in the UK during the 1980s, Netflix's latest offering in the series is a "choose your own adventure" style mini movie. A young programmer begins to question what's real while working on a choose your own path style video game, based off a novel of the same name by a controversial author.
I've actually seen the pick your path thing done on Netflix before, albeit for children shows (a Puss in Boots, and a Minecraft show). As with anything Black Mirror related, your choices send you down rabbit holes, and have unforeseen consequences. There are several different endings, and I'm pretty sure I've gotten just about all of them. I think.
It was good fun, and some of the outcomes are just as hilarious as they are unexpected. My only gripe is that it feels really short. I hope we don't get this in place of an entire season, I'd feel shortchanged.

I heard about this yesterday so I haven't had a chance to try it out yet. I'm intrigued by the format, but like you said, anything with Black Mirror seems like a risk. I watched the first episode and haven't been able to move forward since then. In life.
I watched... err, participated in it? Was a miss for me. Cool concept and there are some cool story arcs but once you go looking to piece together each path it gets really messy. Each individual story path isn't a great watch on its own. It's not bad, and I'm a huge Black Mirror fan, but this was a slight letdown for me.
Yeah, something about it just felt...empty, to me. It didn't have that Black Mirror weight to it.
Don't worry. This isn't in place of a season, this is an extra...something they've wanted to do since Season 1 and finally got around to doing.
I haven't but will. Black Mirror may actually be weirder than the original Twilight Zone but never as good.
Ending felt abrupt and I felt like they missed an opportunity to make it really deep
What? You literally can redo the ending 1000 different ways. There are a trillion different combos you could choose.
