RIP indeed. Mean Gene was the best at playing off of the big names (Hulkster, Macho Man, Ric Flair, etc.) during interviews. The interviews were more entertaining than the actual matches when he had the mic.
I do miss that aspect of the interviewers...Now people come to the ring and just talk..no more getting away with not being able to speak on the mic...it's now a requirement..Stone Cold and The Rock changed the game on that...
And that's the bottom line, because Stone Cold says so!
Some wise guy edited his Wikipedia page to say he died after a lengthy battle with the camel clutch.
Mean Gene is an icon. Wrestling wouldnt have been the same without him.
Anytime I say his name, I have to say it with a WOOOO in there. RIP.
Sigh.
