Clemson is going to be good for a while - they have a very young but talented offense, and Venables - much like Foster - can reload like there was never a missed step.

Miami??????

I took UGA this past season, I'll take them again if I can get 12-1 odds. They really should have beaten Bama in the SEC Championship game.
12-1 seems crazy high. I'd definitely take that
It's nice that we even show up in this tweet really. I could probably find you half a dozen P5 teams that I would give better odds.
I trust Clemson's ability to reload the defense, but they will lose all 4 DL starters, at least on LB, the other two linebackers are eligible to declare and some people think at least one or both will. They might lose one safety and one corner to early NFL decisions as well. They could potentially return 2-4 starters next year. Will be interesting to see how that turns out.
Both Alabama and Clemson return most of their offensive pieces. Alabama loses Damien Harris, and probably Josh Jacobs, a few OL, maybe Irv Smith but returns Tua, Najee and all the receivers. Clemson loses Mitch Hyatt, a few rotational receivers, Hunter Renfrow, and I think their Center.
I swear 90% of the time I see VT mentioned lately it is just a ploy to get our fan base to comment or click. These people honestly don't believe this, they just want the views.
SuperBook is in the business of making money from losing bets, not generating angry clicks.
don't come at me with your rational thought out observation!! I WANT TO BELIEVE IN WANT I BELIEVE

I know our odds aren't good but anytime I see some sort of list about programs nationwide and we're included, regardless of where, it's important to remember that loluva is not even considered. Gotta keep it that way.
Welp, we made the list and that's about as much as we could ask for right now.
Lol higher odds than UVA
Also why tf isn't Venables getting more serious head coaching interest
Kind of a Bud Foster situation. It would have to be the perfect job and seems content to just be the DC somewhere. Plus his kids love living in the upstate and one (and likely both) of his sons are or will be attending Clemson soon.
Yep. He doesn't want to build his own program (which says something about his confidence to me). I think he's at a place where the talent pipeline isn't drying up anytime soon, makes plenty of chedda and can win Nattys.
The fact that Venables makes $2m/year as an assistant probably doesn't hurt, either
It's not just being content being a DC somewhere...it is that they f@$#ing LOVE coaching defense. And, at least in Bud's case, he loves where he currently lives. No idea if Brent loves that sweaty armpit of SC they call Clemson. But for $2 million/year, I'd live there!
Where's UCF?
Vegas knows that the G5 has no obtainable way to get into the playoff.
Oh that's right
The better prop bet would be if the highest ranked G5 team is above or below 7th in the playoff poll by the end of next season.
So you're telling me there's a chance?!
no
We bak.
For a non-gambling person, 100/1 means if you bet 1 you get 100 or 101?
100 on the odds and then you get your original bet back...so you get 101
So I'm not a betting horse but 100/1 looks like 100% odds to me.
Book it! We are a lock! 15-0 motherf%ckers!
