Grimm, 31, was a seventh-round pick by the Bucs in 2010 and played three seasons in the NFL, recording 73 tackles with two interceptions, including one for a touchdown. He has been serving as an assistant on the Virginia Tech coaching staff. He will work for the Bucs as a defense/special teams assistant

Good for him. Maybe somewhere down the line in 2048 he becomes our next head coach after Fuente leads the Hokies to 5 Natty's and Shane wins 7 more.

Grimm is the kind of player that becomes a good coach. Jack Tyler would be another. Both were not the most athletic or physically dominant player on the field, but made a huge impact by understanding the game and getting themselves in a position to succeed. The guys that have all the physical advantages just never seem to be able to teach the game well enough because I don't think they ever had to learn it at a high enough level of detail to succeed.
Yep, both were real students of the game. First one in, last to leave kind of guys.
Really just another coach on the field. Sneaky athletic.
