Per this article (written before Jackson and McClease entered the portal), we currently have 81 scholarship athletes assuming no one else leaves (please don't leave).
We now have four extra scholarships now. Do we go into the transfer portal ourselves? Do we pick up more freshman? What are our most pressing needs?

Give them to Nester, Asante, another DT, and another CB.
If we end up only taking 3, then give a scholarship to walk-on and save scholarship for 2020 class. Hopefully won't see as much attrition next year but means class numbers will be smaller.
well, obviously we should attack a position of need and sign 6 more WRs
hookers and blow
Are you also transferring to Miami?
Must have accidentally stepped into the transfer portal and came out at Louisville.
Gritty's daily diet
Someone over 6'01 and over 260lbs preferably
All of them
D Line, D back and a nice blue chip RB......
D-Line, D-Line, D-Line
Read this as
DB's and D-Line for sure, QB (?)
I was kind of questioning if Trevon is really going to Miami or just speculation because he liked a few tweets..
And then I looked at Miamis Defensive Line depth...its worse than ours...and its not even close...
They Only Have Nine Guys Listed...NINE.GUYS For all DL, not just DE, all DL Combined. NINE
They also only have 12 offensive linemen to our 23 including walkons.
12 is about right.. if they can play
Still speculation
wow, that's crazy.
I did some digging and comparatively speaking they're better off at DT than DE. Hill could certainly expect to get some playing time there.
DT: 6 (1 returning starter, 2 returning contributors, 3 returning redshirts)
#93 Pat Bethel, SR, 6-3, 285
#1 Nesta Silvera, SO, 6-2, 305
#96 Jonathan Ford, SO, 6-5, 300
#90 Tyreic Martin, rJR, 6-3, 295
#91 Jordan Miller, rFR, 6-4, 325
#68 Michael Scibelli, rFR, 6-2, 292
DE: 3 (1 returning starter, 1 returning contributor, 1 returning off injury)
#97 Jonathan Garvin, JR, 6-4, 250
#19 Scott Patchan, rSR, 6-6, 255
#15 Gregory Rousseau, rFR, 6-6, 250
EDIT: this doesn't include their 2019 class, which as a couple more DE and a couple more DT.
Fuente blew it. Instead of cutting Hill, he could have surely worked out some sort of trade of Hill for one of their D Tackles after the ODU game.
Yeah, their DT situation is still much better than ours.
Get a wide receiver coach. Get rid of that fake coach lechtenberg. Get 15 more wide receivers and 4 more running and don't give them any playing time so they can transfer next year
So what new position would you want the 10th coach to coach instead of being a full time recruiter?
Pretty sure you missed the sarcasm there.
Ok so looking at Spread offenses, I'm seeing some teams having 2 wide receiver coaches, 1 for inside receivers and one for outside receivers. Might also help overall having two bodies deal with so many number of players at a very skilled position might help
Demote Cornelson to QB coach and hire an OC
I know there's a lot of hype around Quincy, but we could use one of those scholarships and offer this raw gritty kid from Tampa named Dwayne Lawson
Reports say he would but it looks like a guy named Khadim Sy might be coming back
Now that McClease is transferring, the depth chart sets up perfectly for Drew Harris to step in as the day one starter.
Besides hopefully Asante and/ or Nester a grad transfer DT, DE and CB.
Hold onto the extra scholarships until next year. I'm pretty confident next year is going to be our breakout recruiting year to sign all the big fish in the region. I just know it's gonna happen next year, especially with all the old Beamer recruits gone..
You give one to Lambert
Some experts are expecting the transfer portal to be even more active after spring practice. Guys will better know there pecking order, and will get to participate in Spring Practice. It might be nice to have a couple open scholarships for some grad transfers after spring practice
