Kudos to Willie Taggart for upholding some standards. This coupled with his prior issues seems like a valid reason to boot him.

If what I read was correct, he didn't even get arrested, after conflicting accounts of what happened.
The truth is that he wasn't even certain to start at FSU next year.
Trevon Hill was never "arrested" either.
Hill had nothing to do with this sort of thing. Not to put too fine a point on it, but if we have a player accused (but where guilt hasn't been proven), we're a lot slower to pass judgment.
If the player is on another team, the judgment and condemnation comes swiftly.
Since there is recorded audio, this might be a little different, though.
VT fans, Bittter, etc. know little about what Hill had to do with in his time in Blacksburg. I'll leave it at that.
And you have better sources than press guys with the inside scoop that indicate you know what hill "had to do"?
I don't know about the "had to do" part, but he definitely does have some good sources. What I hear about Hill (some from dcwilson40 and specifically confirmed by others with some legit sources) makes me wonder why he was still around for the "final straw" after the ODU game. It wouldn't have been shocking for him to have been gone before that.
Nah, I believe someone will eventually take a chance. There's a video of De'Andre Johnson punching a girl at a bar and FAU still offered him...don't want to argue which video is worse (that's a lose-lose for everyone involved) but unfortunately there are some programs who are willing to turn a blind eye to DV in order to get W's.

I undid your downvote because this has been an ongoing saga with lots of violent, crazy behavior on her end as well. It's not out of the realm of possibility that she baited him into this behavior, but the behavior (any form of DV) should never occur whether baited or not.

If your opponent can put a label on you, that's about the most damaging thing they can do to you. True or not, if it sticks it can ruin your life.
Sadly, you are correct... We live in a world where you are now seen guilty until proven innocent. Whether its a rape charge, murder charge, etc, people jump to conclusions before any evidence comes out.
Edit: Like stated before, there is never room or justification for any kind of DV, baited or not, but there has been cases where the women said he hit her, everybody goes to her side and make the guy seem like the devil, evidence comes out and shows she was lying the whole time (no DV whatsoever) but the guy is still seen as guilty by many just because they can't fathom the idea that the women was lying about it. You can down vote me, but those are facts.
If people have a different opinion, they should feel free to use their words to express it, but not a downvote.

I think Taggart, Fuente and other coaches in their age group are less tolerant of "bad behavior". This probably comes from playing at a time when "bad behavior" was starting to be tolerated. It really is bad for team morale and results in significant under performance from your all of your players. I think the general idea is that 11 3 star guys playing as a team is going to be better than 10 3 star guys and 2 4-5 star guys just mailing it in. That all changes when you get to teams with lots of high star guys, but I think teams like Alabama and Clemson are getting both talent and good behavior because they get their pick.
Or they are just better at covering it up.
I think the transfer portal is a bad method of covering it up.

Don't jump too quick on all this. Changing story is quite common in cases of DV. There's a lot of emotions, abuse, a kid in this case, that really make things sticky. Despite this recanting, remember we have audio of Francios saying he will hit her in the face every time she throws something.
If only there was some kind of video or audio evidence this happened.....
Keep in mind this isn't the first time a DV allegation has hung over Francois.

I assume she didn't expect him to get kicked off the team and fears retaliation of some kind, either from Francois or asshole fans on Instagram. And besides, the threat of violence still counts as verbal abuse, even if he isn't guilty of physical assault.

Again, I didn't have specifics on what you originally said, but people can disagree for reasons beyond something being outside their bubble. Your edit was just a bit on the accusatory side, that's all, seeming like you were calling people out for not using their brains and staying within their bubble. That was my only point. I have no qualm with people disagreeing. That's what a forum is for. My comment specifically addresses the method of expressing it with downvotes instead of an actual response. Or pretending a comment is something other than what it is. I wasn't defending Francois, only pointing out that the situation is probably more nuanced than a label can capture. If we're not going to debate the merits, what's the point of discussing it?
