Also, I always wonder how that Kent St. bomb would go over today. The wife thinks (and I usually agree) that under the current rules he gets tossed for that hit.

While a big hit.... he stayed planted on the ground, used his shoulder, and contacted the upper chest...
Textbook : flag for unnecessary roughness with the added targeting call. Automatic review shows it's a clean hit, but refs have to award the 15 yards anyways, however, targeting is reversed and he gets to stay in the game.

The shot of Dax was the UVA game, so it could be blended from the ND pregame but was definitely a motivational thing for the off season
