See the tweets below from David Hale. We all have heard and seen the chatter on TKP about the Hokies subpar performance in Lane Stadium the past few years. I don't know whether to be happy or sad. Discuss.

Last season had a whole lot to do with putting us over the top on this list.
Funny how good our road record looks when you only count P5 games.
Half of this list is comprised of ACC teams...wow
The weird difference is that the other listed ACC teams have insignificant or outright poor home field environments. We are the only one of the ACC schools on the last list who actually have a great home field atmosphere.
edit: You could make an argument that NC State has a good home field environment, but the rest of them have fanbases who really couldn't give a shit.
We have had some serious let downs at home but also had some of our toughest games at home. tOSU, Clemson, ND. Doesn't excuse the ones we should have won but that will skew the results a little bit.
So Bama has 20 road games and 18 neutral site games in 5 years. They better get working on that schedule as it seems a bit road game heavy.
Doesn't help that we have only put up more than 24 points against Power 5 opponents 5 times in the last 2 years.
Nope, not listening, focusing on basketball instead.
