haven't seen this posted yet which is really surprising but kyshoen jarret has a you tube documentary coming out about his struggles since his injury. some stuff I think a lot of people can relate too. Really worth the watch and subscribing to his youtube. I think everyone should check it out and support him. once a hokie always a hokie! great hokie! great kid!

Tough watch, thanks for sharing, hoping this young man can find a productive life after football. Feels sorry for him, I truly do.

He, like his mother, is doing a lot of motivational speaking. He also has a non profit that the Redskins have been actively supporting. Last I saw he was also still involved with the Skins facility in Ashburn. Even spends some time as an unpaid coach essentially.

Well I guess it would be hard to dispute VT as DBU if we hire Kyshoen, D Hall, Kam Chancellor, Brandon Flowers, Justin Hamilton, and Torrian Grey. That is only 6/10 possible coaching positions though so maybe still not quite enough.

Skins fans still talk about the loss of Kyshoen because he was balling out at the time. If I remember correctly he was hurt against Dallas making a tackle around the goalline. Another reason for me to hate Dallas....

Yep. Knew as soon as it happened I knew it wasn't good. He took his helmet off and was crying and visibily in shock.

He was the second skins player injured by the running back lowering his head that game if I recall correctly.

Yes, this is true, running back hit Kyshoen right on the nerve bundle that controlled his arm by putting his helmet down. The other Skin was more lucky, he only got a concussion.

Made a little piggyback joke above, but I'm a puddle after watching this. His final direct-address "confessional" clip is an incredible example of keeping perspective, accentuating the positive, and rolling with life's many punches.

I know bringing old players back as coaches is a lazy talking point and that some people fall in love with the idea of having a staff full of alumni but if Kyshoen is successful at picking up the ins and outs of coaching in the NFL he should be at the top of our shortlist for any DB or ST coaching vacancies. The dude is 26, intelligent, has NFL experience and one hell of a story to sell to HS kids and their parents. I wouldn't make him a coordinator today but we absolutely should be keeping tabs on him for the future.
