TKP PSA: WatchESPN is no longer streaming - how to fix

I normally like to put more detail into my posts, but this is only a PSA for the community.

ESPN has deactivated WatchESPN. I didn't hear that this was coming and was, unpleasantly surprised when I went to watch the basketball game tonight.

Worry not! Streaming is still available, they just migrated it over to their normal ESPN app. Download that, sign in, put in your provider information and it'll work. It's actually really nice as it'll automatically stream games you are able to watch as you scroll the main page. And you can stream while following stats, which is also a nice plus.

I'm currently on the WATCH ESPN app on my iPad.

It didn't work for me at game time, but it is now. Weird. Luckily I knew you could watch games using the regular espn app so I switched over there. Otherwise I would have been stuck watching Paw Patrol until bath time.

I'm noticing similar.

When I tried to peak in on the game on WatchESPN, it was only showing "Around the Horn" at 5:59 PM as the option for ESPN2, and of course, not working. Now it's showing that as well as a VCU game at 9 PM on ESPN2. No, the ATH option finally disappeared just now.

But everything on the main ESPN channels looks to be streaming properly on WatchESPN on my phone right now.

This sucks as the app is terrible. There were tons of games i couldn't watch on the app but some how worked through a browser on watchESPN. The Marshall game was one of those.

I really want the local broadcast laws to die as i don't have cable and every year its getting tougher to stream every game. I really want Disney create their netflix clone and put everything streaming on it, ESPN, ABC, etc. But laws have to change to make that deal work how I want it too. I want to stream everything!

Just tried to watch the baseball game and it won't play, giving me some browser error code shit I don't ken. Lost a lot of the baseball game last night for no explained reason.

For what it's worth, I have the baseball game coming through WatchESPN on my phone.

I always had problems with games being blacked out
