I don't think he needs to be. Last year showed he can still be a legit deep threat. I love Alshon to death, but a deep threat he is not.
You could get Desean for cheap, either for a low end pick or for just $ if Tampa releases him.

Depends on the RB. I'm hearing they're gonna let Ajayi walk, which is fine, he was great and did his part in the SB run, but I think we saw what we can expect this year. I'd like to bring Blount back if the Lions let him go, because he fits what we try to do.

Giants have resigned interior OL Spencer Pulley to a team-friendly 3 year deal. Giants also previously acquired Kevin Zeitler and a fifth from the Browns in exchange for Olivier Vernon and a fourth. OL needed strengthening and this is a decent start.

I called the Browns winning 7 games last year. They have a LOT of high-end young talent on that team. We'll see if the defense keeps it up/takes a step forward under new coaching.

They may have gotten him for Peanuts but then they did the Raider thing and made him the highest paid wide receiver in football at 3 years, $50.25M to include over $30M guaranteed over the next three years when originally he had zero left guaranteed on the Steeler contract.
Also heard rumors that they helped grease the skids with AB's Agent by also making the deal to get Tackle Trent Brown from the Patriots. Gave him a twofer in terms of big bonuses.

Former Patriots' OT Trent Brown intends to sign a four-year, $66 million contract that includes $36.75 million guaranteed with the Oakland Raiders, per source, making him highest paid OL in NFL history.

He's probably gonna immediately suck. Scarnecchia is the best OL coach in the league by far and there's not a great track record of Pats OL continuing to succeed elsewhere
Log in or register to post comments about the Virginia Tech Hokies
There is no doubt in my mind that his play will revert once he starts playing for the Raiders. Look at Nate Solder, the Pats know how to get exactly what they need out of players and let them go when its time. It's annoying how good they are at it, but the results speak for themselves.
Edit: Its also why Brady and Belichick will play a game of chicken about who retires first. Because neither of them wants to be "exposed" as the guy who needed the other to be successful
Log in or register to post comments about the Virginia Tech Hokies
The entire Giants OL was a dumpster fire for the first half of the season and then played much better once Pulley took over playing center and the entire right side of the line was replaced. Solder and Hernandez took a lil while to get used to playing next to each other. You'd expect your franchise LT on a then-record deal to hit the ground running and not have so many growing pains, though. He definitely missed NE

Belichick reportedly wanted to trade Brady and keep Garoppolo until Kraft put the kibosh on it and Garoppolo went to SF. So Belichick is basically stuck with Brady until he retires unless Kraft faces some repercussions from the league for his current situation which lead to him having a reduced role.

Patriots should go after Josh Rosen if the Cardinals are truly interested in taking Kyler Murray with the #1 pick (though I doubt it). They have 12 picks in this years draft, I'm sure they can put something together that would excite the Cards.

and every Giants fan suddenly doesn't feel so bad about letting him walk. Can't wait to see him isolated in coverage on a saquon wheel route.
edit: $45m guaranteed, all over the first three years of the deal. Even 3/45 is a massive overpay when you see Eric Berry getting 13m aav on a 6/78m deal... wow
Log in or register to post comments about the Virginia Tech Hokies
What??? Collins just turned 25 and Berry is 30. Collins in one of the best safeties in the league and just entering his prime. Not really fair to compare the two. Redskins also constructed the deal where the cap hit is only $4 million next year. Once Alex Smith's horrid contract is off the books in 2 years, this isn't that bad a of deal for one of the better safeties in the league. They can cut him (if they need to) after year 3. Plus this is one of the biggest needs for the Redskins.
I am a Redskins homer and glad they haven't made big FA splashes as of late because in the past, it was usually somebody in their 30's, past their prime and who was ready to sign up for AARP. This is just not the case for Collins.
Log in or register to post comments about the Virginia Tech Hokies
Berry is 30 now (not when his deal was signed) and is still a better safety at 30 after having torn an achilles and beaten cancer than Landon Collins is at 25.
Collins is an excellent in-the-box defender who gets absolutely victimized in coverage, and at the very least, the Skins are committing 45m to him over 3 years. Maybe change in scheme will do him good, and I'll be wrong. But he had one excellent year with the Giants and then was hurt or ineffective and rode that one year to a big big pay day.
Log in or register to post comments about the Virginia Tech Hokies
No one is giving a 30 year old a 6 year contract. 5 years is a huge difference and I have seen Berry get torched enough to know he isn't THAT much better than you make it out to be.
No one is crowning Collins the best safety but he is a play maker the Redskins' had desperately needed at the safety position since Sean Taylor. The fact is he was going to be paid no matter what. Once the next FA period next year rolls around, someone will most likely eclipse him. The cap always goes up. This isn't as bad as people make it out to be.
Log in or register to post comments about the Virginia Tech Hokies
I am not saying that isn't a lot of money because it is. He is now the highest paid safety probably until next year, but what makes this a "bad deal"? Not looking for an argument, but wondering where you are getting that conclusion?
Like did you look at the cap hit for each year? God forbid if they need to cut him, it will be feasible after year 3. Eric Schafer did a marvelous job constructing this contract.
Log in or register to post comments about the Virginia Tech Hokies
He is more of a linebacker then he is a Safety. He isn't great in coverage. Now grant it if he was paired with a decent FS next to him he would probably play at the level most remember him playing at.
He can't cover a TE to save his life.
Also, he gets injured a ton.
13 Mil is a ton to pay for 1 dimensional safety.
Log in or register to post comments about the Virginia Tech Hokies
Could he improve in coverage? Sure but I have seen him enough being a Skins fan and see him cover well enough to couple with his excellent box coverage. When you look at a guy who is former 1st-team All Pro, a 3-time pro bowler, upgrade at biggest position of need, and a guy who is 25 and entering prime... you are going to have to pay up no matter who the team is.
If his talent declines, then this is could be a bad deal. Look how Eric Schafer constructed the contract as well. Only a 4 million cap hit this year. If all goes bad, then they can cut him after year 3. But this is far from a "bad deal"
Log in or register to post comments about the Virginia Tech Hokies
Just because one doesn't have interceptions doesn't mean he wasn't in position to make the play. You can also make the argument a player had a lot of interceptions because it went through the WR"s hands, it was a weird tip in the air and happened to be there to intercept it, or the QB threw a horrible pass. Goes both ways.
That's your opinion on the pro-bowl. Do some get in because of injuries or players going to Super Bowl instead? Sure, but they aren't sending schmucks to the Pro-Bowl. And I have no clue what you are talking about Redskins filling the ballet. If you don't think that doesn't happen with all fan bases, then I don't know what to tell you.
Collins was going to get paid no matter what. It was one the Redskins' biggest needs. Redskins needed play makers and got one at a very young age as he is entering his prime.
Log in or register to post comments about the Virginia Tech Hokies
There are a lot of good safeties around the league, this is an area where the Redskins should have been able to upgrade (or just keep Clinton-Dix) for little money. Instead they break the bank and still don't have a starting quarterback.
Is there anything in football that is analogous to the WAR in baseball?
Log in or register to post comments about the Virginia Tech Hokies
They couldn't afford to have 20mil to Smith, plus McCoy, plus some rookie (probably) plus 20+ to someone else. They did what they could with the QB situation, and continued building the team around that. Probably overpaid, but that's what younger talent costs. If nothing else, it helps stabilize the position for a few years. And think what you want of him, he's a vast improvement over Clinton-Dix.

Jackson and a 7th for Eagles 6th round pick. A bit more money to DJax then I would have liked, but if he can still take the top off a defense then its a great move.

No it isn't. Only 50m in guarantees which over 4 years is fair-to-team friendly for a QB like Foles. He got PAID but a bet a lot of that is up frontish and jags can move on after year 2 or 3

Good for BDN. He's an all timer in terms of how Eagles fans feel about him. Get paid, and more importantly get paid in the AFC.
We will get a 3rd RD comp pick out of it and I will feel good about rooting for him. Too bad its not a 1st round comp pick so gobble gobble would shut up about it years later, but still good...
Log in or register to post comments about the Virginia Tech Hokies
Still not over alum's comments even after he agreed with me in the end? Anyhow, league doesn't award first or second round comp picks, and even so compensatory picks don't say much about the acquiring team's valuation. You'll notice the jaguars hung onto their seventh overall pick in this transaction, which is what alum was indicating a team should want to give up to get him.
Eagles.might not be done in free agency, but looks like freeing cap space was mostly for making trade acquisitions and extending current roster players. I believe league uses net free agency outlay to determine comp picks, so Golden Tate should help as well in that regard

Not sad, just frustrated with an ownership and front office that doesn't realize or doesn't care that Eli is washed. As much as I can't stand the Eagles and their no good, very bad fan base, Roseman is one of the best in the game at what he does.
Log in or register to post comments about the Virginia Tech Hokies
Still bottles the mind that Chip reassigned Howie to a non decision making role in the front office. What a disaster that man was, but they probably don't win SB52 without him burning it to the ground that fast.
Log in or register to post comments about the Virginia Tech Hokies
It always seemed to me that Chip tried to run an NFL team like it was a college program. Just had a fundamental misunderstanding of how to allocate available resources. College roster spot considerations being limited to scholarship count and position group depth chart really simplifies it
Log in or register to post comments about the Virginia Tech Hokies
That situation wasn't right and McAdoo rightly paid for it - but he wasn't wrong about Eli being a shell of himself, but benching him for Geno Smith doesn't make any sense, and floating the "Eli can start and play a quarter and then Davis Webb will play the rest of the game to keep the starts streak intact" idea didn't make any sense either. The issue is that since then, ownership and the new front office has had two prime opportunities to move on and they have only doubled down on the decision to hang onto Eli. I guess we'll see if they take a QB this draft, but signs are generally pointing to no.

Neither the Eagles or Giants fan bases have any reason to be in considerable woe over decisions made by management, when all they have to do is look inside the division at the Redskins and all the hijinks that Dan Snyder and Bruce Allen have made fans endure.
Talk about having talent internally and not appropriately using it? Former members of Redskins staff that now shine elsewhere
Sean McVay, head coach of Rams
Kyle Shanahan, head coach of 49ers
Matt Lafleur, head coach of Green Bay Packers
Aubrey Pleasant, was assistant DB for Skins, now DB coach for Rams but in final candidates for DC job with Bengals.
John Schneider, General Manager of the Seattle Seahawks
Those are just the ones off the top of my head but I know there are quite a few more that once they got out from under the madness at Redskins Park have seen their careers skyrocket.

I'm sorry but I think the giants might be the losers of the offseason as of now. They're in rebuild mode but are wasting the prime years of a stud rb on a cheap contract to do what exactly? Eat Odell Beckham's dead cap and blow the delta on a much older and less talented golden tate?

It's even worse. Barkley's contract isn't even that cheap, because as the #2 overall pick he's locked into what amounts to a top-7 cap hit among all RBs. As a Giants fan, I love having Barkley but i hate having taken him where we did. Not to mention that the post you replied to was even before the OBJ dumpster fire of a trade

It's interesting to see the Packers as players in FA. They should have been doing this years ago instead of wasting so many years of having the best QB in the game and not surrounding him with any other pieces, especially on defense.

You don't need to be big spenders in FA to be good. It's ok to spend big every once and while, but if your like the Redskins who used to win the FA Offseason every year, it never works out.
The people who win in FA are the smart spenders who don't really over spend.

I thought it was a haul, when you consider what the Steelers got for Antonio Brown. A third and a fifth, Vs a first-round safety, a mid-first, and a third.
Log in or register to post comments about the Virginia Tech Hokies
When you look at the differences in contract situation, the Giants were fools for not coming away with two firsts. Especially given that the Browns first rounder next year should be even lower than #17.
Because the Giants are eating the $20 million signing bonus on Beckham's deal, the Browns are getting a relative bargain as part of this contract. Cleveland essentially has OBJ signed on a five-year, $77 million pact with $19.5 million guaranteed, all but $2.75 million of which comes this season. From the Browns' perspective, his deal averages $15.4 million per season. He's owed $47 million over the next three seasons, which is less than Sammy Watkins -- an inferior wide receiver with far less of a track record -- received in unrestricted free agency last year.
Log in or register to post comments about the Virginia Tech Hokies
Good lord the Giants are also taking the cap hit from that bonus on top of trading away the best weapon their well-past-it QB (that they're doubling down on for some reason) had? Incredible.

The Browns are going to be really good next season I think. Hunt and Chubb in the backfield with OBJ and Landry running routes. If Mayfield develops that offense will be tough
WTF are the Giants doing? Barkley is excellent, but that team has already entered tank mode.
And you know Gettleman is going to draft Haskins, who could be solid. But they are going to suck for awhile.

If they can avoid injury to any key contributor, they win the division

Quit is a harsh word when the GM of the Niners himself has confirmed he was going to be cut if he hadn't opted out. "Quit or you're fired" is not the same as "quit" IMO.
It still doesn't change the fact that the NFL is obviously a league in need of QBs, and he can't get a job for reasons that have nothing to do with football.

He's probably gonna immediately suck. Scarnecchia is the best OL coach in the league by far and there's not a great track record of Pats OL continuing to succeed elsewhere
Joint retirement?
No, that would be David Irving.
LB Kwon Alexander to the Niners on a stupid money deal of 4/54m with 27m guaranteed.
Landon Collins, to the Skins
6-years, 84M---- Yikes that's a bad deal
and every Giants fan suddenly doesn't feel so bad about letting him walk. Can't wait to see him isolated in coverage on a saquon wheel route.
edit: $45m guaranteed, all over the first three years of the deal. Even 3/45 is a massive overpay when you see Eric Berry getting 13m aav on a 6/78m deal... wow
The safety you are thinking about has been MIA since 2016. He had zero interceptions last season.
The pro-bowl is a joke nowadays. Especially the years were the Redskins fans stuff the ballet.
There are a lot of good safeties around the league, this is an area where the Redskins should have been able to upgrade (or just keep Clinton-Dix) for little money. Instead they break the bank and still don't have a starting quarterback.
Is there anything in football that is analogous to the WAR in baseball?
DC has agreed to trade for Case Keenum, but I agree about the safety market.
Lions making moves in free agency: WR Amendola for 1/$4.5m, CB Justin Coleman for 4/$36m, and DE Trey Flowers for 5/$85m.
Each player is a former New England Patriot, as are Detroit's head coach and GM
Desean Jackson traded to the Eagles
Twitter #sauces say it's for a 2019 6th and 2020 7th.... But the Eagles already traded the 7th in the Bennett deal, so maybe the 7th is coming back?
I believe eagles got a 7th for barbre? This could be that
Jackson and a 7th for Eagles 6th round pick. A bit more money to DJax then I would have liked, but if he can still take the top off a defense then its a great move.
Think it means agholor gets cut before his salary guarantees? That's a lot of money for 3 wrs
The best part of this is Coughlin yelling at the punter lol
As he should have been. The punter was instructed to kick the ball out of bounds to negate a return, and instead kicked it right at DJax.
Foles to the Jags.
Way overpaid for what else the Jags need and their cap space.
I just saw that.
$50.125m is guaranteed. BDN got himself paid. Happy for the guy.
No it isn't. Only 50m in guarantees which over 4 years is fair-to-team friendly for a QB like Foles. He got PAID but a bet a lot of that is up frontish and jags can move on after year 2 or 3
That's still a hell of a lot of money up front. Considering he was contemplating retirement 48 months ago, what a turnaround for him.
Yeah, I meant it more with regards to the Jags than for Foles. It wouldn't look as bad if they hadn't extended Ol Borts
I'd rather see them using it on WR, OL, TE, DL and young RB.
I'd be surprised if they don't go DL at #7. Loaded draft class at the top
I was never under it. I don't speak for Alum. I don't spend too much time worrying about sad Giants fans either.
I am fully aware that the league does not give out 1/2 round comp picks, hence...you know...the joke
Not sad, just frustrated with an ownership and front office that doesn't realize or doesn't care that Eli is washed. As much as I can't stand the Eagles and their no good, very bad fan base, Roseman is one of the best in the game at what he does.
Still bottles the mind that Chip reassigned Howie to a non decision making role in the front office. What a disaster that man was, but they probably don't win SB52 without him burning it to the ground that fast.
It always seemed to me that Chip tried to run an NFL team like it was a college program. Just had a fundamental misunderstanding of how to allocate available resources. College roster spot considerations being limited to scholarship count and position group depth chart really simplifies it
I would add fan base to that list as well.
https://247sports.com/nfl/new-york-giants/ContentGallery/New-York-Giants...
(Not saying you, just there was a very vocal portion of the fan base that was pretty upset about that.)
Jay Gruden can coach. That team would be a dumpster fire without him.
Just because the Giants' situation could definitely be worse doesn't mean I can't wish it was better
Yeah the giants need to shed themselves of gettleman
On the bright side, that gif of him typing on a fake computer while making fun of analytics gets better and better each day
I've never seen this but I need to. Please post
https://deadspin.com/old-gm-yells-at-cloud-1825600773
Lol my man, I'm enjoying your continued inability to let it go
😂
Have a 🍗
That'd make more sense if it wasn't AZ who brought it up this time 🤷♂️
Much like any reply to dc, I am going to reject reality and substitute my own
Honey badger to the chiefs for 3/$42m
Anthony Barr and Jamison Crowder to the Jets
Edit: CJ Mosley too
They aren't done yet. I think Bell will sign today.
DT Sheldon Richardson to Browns on 3 year deal
Picked this one because I love seeing a Panthers QB
sackedon the ground.Do you mean "tackled for a seven yard gain"?
Fix't.
You must be a Falcons fan..lol..Cam gonna do big things this year..
Throwing a lot of interceptions counts as "big things". ;^)
C'mon, people, remember where you are and provide a gif with your post about a signing.
Edit: I was just thinking that this thread would be a lot more fun to view with gifs of all the players that are signing.
What team are you a fan of?
I'm super confused how this board is infested with Eagle fans.
Redskins or Raven fans I could understand, but the Eagles doesn't make much sense to me.
Well IIRC the next largest state behind MD and VA for Tech students is NJ, NJ Delco Area big for the Birds, that's my guess.
We are everywhere.
I can barely go to the grocery store here in a Scottsdale without saying or hearing a "Go Birds" from a fellow fan
Well, they did win the Super Bowl last year, so of course the internet is now infested with them.
They probably would've all switched to be Rams fans by now had they won. ;^)
Two years ago, last year they were right back to being average and overhyped like normal.
If winning the Super Bowl and then going back to the Divisional Round of the playoffs the next year is overhyped and average, sign me up.
While I'm sure we picked up some new fans after winning the SB, anyone that thinks Eagles fans are bandwagon fans clearly doesn't know much about Eagles fans
You mean the WVU fans of the NFL? Yes, I know all about them. I live in Philadelphia.
Go birds? So you are a Falcons and Cardinals fan?
Eagles are clearly the superior avian species
(You could also just see my first comment in the post.)
DB Adrian Amos and pass rushers Preston Smith and Za'Darius Smith to Packers
edit: updated
I keep asking myself if this is real life. This is such a breath of fresh air compared to Thompson's old approach (see: not doing anything in free agency)
It's interesting to see the Packers as players in FA. They should have been doing this years ago instead of wasting so many years of having the best QB in the game and not surrounding him with any other pieces, especially on defense.
Pack nation has been screaming this for several years now...
My youngest brother is a diehard Packers fan (I have no idea how that happened growing up in an Eagles household), and I have had to hear him complain forever about this
He probably realized how trashy the fan base was and wanted better for himself.
You don't need to be big spenders in FA to be good. It's ok to spend big every once and while, but if your like the Redskins who used to win the FA Offseason every year, it never works out.
The people who win in FA are the smart spenders who don't really over spend.
There was an interesting article on The Athletic that said exactly that. Obviously I cant share the link, but the summary was that its the desperate teams that overpay early on and the smart teams that bide their time and find the value
S Tashaun Gipson to Texans
QB Teddy Bridgewater looks to be staying with the Saints
So what happens with Bortles now that the jags have thrown huge money at BDN? Isnt he also on a big contract as well?
He is or was cut I believe.
he will likely be designated as a post-June 1 release
LA ain't a bad spot to go if you're looking to go while you're enjoying the twilight of your career. Especially when its the Chargers.
RB Latavius Murray to the Saints on the 4 year deal likely signals that Mark Ingram will sign elsewhere
LB Jordan Hicks to the Cardinals on a four year deal with $20m guaranteed
Anthony Barr has agreed to stay at Minny. The Jets lose out.
ooooh drama
WRs John Brown and Cole Beasley to the Bills
Cole Beasley to the fucking freezing pit of misery!
Dumpster diving Dave with a small get for the Giants..

NFL Update
& #8207;@MySportsUpdate
#Falcons are finalizing a deal with former #Giants and #Rams G Jamon Brown, per @ZachKleinWSB. Should be a 3-year deal when all set and done.
I'm surprised we havn't heard anything about Bell yet. There were some tweets this morning that seemed to indicate that he had already come to an agreement with an unknown team
Been seeing rumors that the Jets are making a strong push with the money they didn't give Barr when he backed out.
I love this move, provided he passes his physical.
Live look at Dan Snyder doing his best work for the Washington Redskins:
Giants just traded Odell Beckham Jr to the Browns
I'm going to be sick.
That was not enough to get back for him. A 1st, 3rd, and Jabril Peppers.
No thanks.
Glad Gettleman left Carolina, that's all I can say about it.
Either ownership is meddling, or he really is clueless about how to build a winning team
This is the same guy that kicked Steve Smith to the curb for... reasons. I think he's completely lost it now, and it was fairly far gone to start with.
And Peppers is overrated. Browns hosed them. As long as Baker and OBJ don't clash, the Browns sights just moved a lot higher.
Browns are going to be expected to win the division this year. They have really pulled together a lot of talent.
I thought it was a haul, when you consider what the Steelers got for Antonio Brown. A third and a fifth, Vs a first-round safety, a mid-first, and a third.
When you look at the differences in contract situation, the Giants were fools for not coming away with two firsts. Especially given that the Browns first rounder next year should be even lower than #17.
Edit:
From Barnwell's ESPN analysis:
Good lord the Giants are also taking the cap hit from that bonus on top of trading away the best weapon their well-past-it QB (that they're doubling down on for some reason) had? Incredible.
Browns kicking the Giants while they are down and taking their lunch money. Kareem Hunt is already rubbing off on the culture in Cleveland.
The third is basically a 4th round pick.
Had heard zero rumblings about Odell that's out of left field
The Browns are going to be really good next season I think. Hunt and Chubb in the backfield with OBJ and Landry running routes. If Mayfield develops that offense will be tough
WTF are the Giants doing? Barkley is excellent, but that team has already entered tank mode.
And you know Gettleman is going to draft Haskins, who could be solid. But they are going to suck for awhile.
Dan Snyder has infected the Giants with his dumb assery it seems

It appears the Giants are out to make Snyder look wise with his trades. They are gutting the team and taking hits to the salary cap at the same time. Normally you do one to help the other.
I don't know if Hunt sees the field this year. It'll be Chubb and Duke Johnson.
And yep, the Giants are in full rebuild mode.
I have no clue. Gettleman is clueless, changed his mind about a rebuilding in the last week (after he chose not to tag Landon Collins), or ownership directed it. It's absolutely mind boggling
He is single handily gutting the team of talent and ruining the salary cap at the same time. That actually takes talent.
He actually cleared about 100 Million off the cap next season, with this being the last year of Eli's deal
Browns are expected to sign Earl Thomas to a 3 year deal
Browns will be the 2019 AFC North Champion
Redskins fan here. Careful of anointing champions in the off-season. But it's hard not to look at what they're doing and think they're headed in the right direction
I'm considering what they're doing....looking at the Ravens decimating their defense, the Steelers losing their big threats (maybe JuJu and Conner pick up the slack, maybe not), and the Bengals just being the Bengals...
If they can avoid injury to any key contributor, they win the division
The best bit is watching steelers fans trying to justify how losing bell and brown will make them better. Might reduce the drama but they didnt replace them and theyre both freakishly good. I think its easy to see the browns winning the division next year lamar jackson doesnt worry anyone and the bengals are useless as normal.
Lev Bell to the Jets. 4/52.5, 35m guaranteed
Wasnt the deal the steelers offered him bigger?
Yes, but less guaranteed.
Chiefs trade franchised DE Dee Ford to Niners for a 2020 second
I imagine a lot of chiefs fans hate him so I see why they'd trade him
Earl Thomas to the Ravens. 4 years, 55 mil, 32 guaranteed.
https://www.seattletimes.com/sports/seahawks/report-earl-thomas-to-sign-...
Add Mark Ingram in. 3 years, 15 mil to the Ravens.
Tyrod to the chargers
via GIPHY
He's no spring chicken at 30...
to be a high end backup on a contending team? not a bad gig if you can find it, and there just aren't too many QB needy teams out there who would want go to the Tyrod route.
Does this signify that Taylor is no longer concerned with being a starter?
edit: from the sounds of it, he may have passed on the starting gig in Miami to go to the Chargers. Maybe he thinks Rivers retires soon and he'll take over a better Chargers team?
Would you want to play behind that Dolphins line? 31st last year in PFF's rankings.
Me? No, I'm a 36 year old, 175lbs dude who played 2 years of high school football at the WR and DB positions....used to be a little athletic in my prime, but I don't have the quickness or agility to get away from an NFL D-Line
Odd, but at this point league minimums will compensate him nicely for a backup position.
a powder blue Tyrod jersey is going to be an excellent addition to my collection though. Best jersey in the league.
Still think he would have been a great fit in Jax starting 2 season back. High standard of ball security much more dangerous than Bortles. Was a solid defense to back it all up.
WR Tyrell Williams to the Raiders
RT Daryl Williams back with CAR Per Schefter. prove it deal... LOL
If he can stay healthy 6 mil is a bargain for a tackle of his ability.
I LOL because I wanted him on my squad. He was the one guy I thought we would pick up.
And just like that the reign of Blake Bortles in Jacksonville is over.
WR Golden Tate to the Giants on a 4 year deal. The same Giants that just traded away Odell Beckham Jr
QB Ryan Tannehill + 2019 sixth rounder traded from the Dolphins to the Titans for a 2020 fourth and 2019 seventh
So do the dolphins even have a QB on the roster
Who can start?
Tanking for Tua
Maybe they can entice JP Losman
https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2825719-report-team-asked-jp-losman-...
While Kaep still isn't getting a call...
Literally, there isn't going to be anyone left. Nobody wants to play QB for that NFL franchise, which is remarkable.
Manziel?
I have no pity for Kap. He quit a $16 million dollar a year contract because he was riding the bench. Then sued when nobody would hire him for a starting role.
As for the lawsuit, if you don't think there was some collusion going on there, then I don't know what to tell ya
Fitzmagic is going to Miami oh well can't say that's a huge mistake but no real upgrade to their issues
Dolphins can't even rank correctly.
One-year, $805K base salary. $30K signing bonus. $735K cap hit. That seems like a living wage to me.

Still a contract and another year in the NFL towards his pension and insurance allowance.
Eagles trade a conditional 2020 6th round pick for Jordan Howard.
Howard's season last year was his worst of three, but still one of only 3 backs with 3000 yards rushing over that span.
The way the Eagles use RBs, I think this improves the backfield
