Virginia Tech's athletic department self-reported 10 secondary violations to the NCAA in 2018.
An assistant coach had impermissible in-person, off-campus contact with a prospective student-athlete prior to the permissible date during the winter contact period. The assistant had a brief conversation and took a photo with the junior student-athlete.
"They exchanged pleasantries but did not have dialogue that was recruiting in nature," the report said. "The coach did not initiate contact and was at the high school to see senior PSAs (prospective student-athletes)."
The other violation involved a tweet from Virginia Tech professor discussing a meeting with a prospective student-athlete and his parents. The professor mentioned the student-athlete's twitter handle in the tweet. The university said the professor wasn't aware of the NCAA rules prohibiting such publicity and described it as "an isolated incident."
Look for the NCAA to hammer Tech over this. /s

Great, we're doomed.
Just gonna throw it out there that the professor wasn't me. I know not to tweet at 'cruits.
I'm also not important enough to meet with 'cruits.
Pack it up folks, Bud and Buzz to TAMU in a package deal and Fuente to Oklahoma State.
Death Penalty for all sports.. I'm going to miss fencing!

If only
Boy they are going to hammer us to teach UNC a lesson
Correct me if i'm wrong, but this stuff is extremely common and minor, right? As in why is this even news?
I mean UVA football committed 32 minor violations and received a whopping $5,000 fine

With the complexity of the NCAA rules, I think it would be more suspicious to not report anything.
Yeah, the penalties for these minor infringements are so insignificant. It's hard to follow every little rule, so if you self report the tiny stuff you do, even the NCAA will be understanding. Like if you talk to a recruit before you are supposed to, they just count that as a visit and take away one more allowed visit to that player. Seems reasonable.
True. And as we all know the NCAA is known for its consistency and integrity.

MORE DOTS!
Okay, stop dots!
(This will never fail to get at least a chuckle out of me. And I'm sure my guild hates my use of Onyxia Wipe Animation soundboard during raid night: https://www.soundboard.com/sb/Rorekil)
That whole video is what early youtube was to me. Just this random stuff that people did shitty animations for with hysterical audio.
I'm kinda surprised anyone is still raiding BfA with what a shitshow it's been.
Raiding is raiding, and still sorta fun.
The rest of BfA? Yeah, you nailed it.
I honestly tried to like it. I main shaman though... Two MAJOR patches without any significant buff/rework/redesign/etc. It was clear Blizzard was just hopping on the cash train post Legion.
What sport?
Football, both basketballs, women's golf, Men's Swimming and diving, lax
Dang! They can do all those sports? That PSA sounds like a total stud! Get that scholly letter signed now! /s
Such unlawfulness CANNOT go unpunished!
Everyone joking but Tech is pretty small potatos in the grand scheme of things so we probably will get a ban hammer, sigh...
We're trying to style our recruiting model after UNC's already. The coaching staff is obviously full of loyal TKPers.
Remember. Tweet @ Croots. (unless you're associated with the university)
