It read to me more like some dude came up during Jordan's wedding and picked a fight with Phil that was unprovoked to which Phil had an epic comeback.
But if they played in a pro-Am together afterward, then I think there was some relationship already and he was busting Phil's chops. And then Phil gave it right back to him.
