If you would like to still join, there are a couple of people with 3 or 2 teams, so just let us know which one you would like, and we will slot you in.
.

.
.
Alright, let's get this thing rolling. While we are starting early, the clock won't officially start until Thursday, April 11th at 9am.
.
.
The draft will run from 9am to 6pm Monday through Friday until the start of the NFL Draft (Thursday, April 25th) or the completion of the 6th round.
.
.
It would make my life easier if you could all send me and email to TheBACreturns [at] gmail [dot] com and I can give you access to the spreadsheet, so you can remove a player from prospects tab and move him to the correct spot on the Round/Selection,
.
.
Make sure that all picks are new comments on the actual thread. When making picks, announce your team and your pick. Have fun with it and add a cool GIF of your player if you have one.
.
.
Please remember to REPLY TO A PICK TO DISCUSS IT so we can keep the thread uncluttered.
.
.
Once a team is on the clock, they will have two hours to make a selection. If a team goes on the clock after 4pm, their two-hour window will roll over to the next day. For example, if you go on the clock at 4:30pm, you will have until 9:30 am to make a selection. Picks may be made between 6pm and 9am if GMs are online and following the draft thread. The time limit only applies during the 9am to 6pm timeframe. If the two hour time limit expires, I will make a pick using any list that the GM for the team has sent me in advance (send lists to TheBACreturns [at] gmail [dot] com) or in the absence of a list, I will use the GBN Big Board with a little discretion so as not make an obvious dumb pick (i.e. Kansas City won't be taking a QB in the 1st round this year). If a GM misses two consecutive picks without providing a prospect list or making some form of contact with me (email or posting on the draft thread) the spot will be reassigned to one of the TKPers who have expressed an interest to fill the vacancy.
.
.
Please utilize the Embeded Google Sheet. The spreadsheet contains the draft order (RD1-6) by team, team needs, and GM with a fairly comprehensive list of prospects based on the GBN Big Board (as well as several other prospects that did not make the GBN Big Board). I will try to keep the spreadsheet and thread updated as often as possible... Good luck!

Comments
Holy shit you put a lot of thought into this. Kudos.
Well I've had a little while to think about this. Although the actual Cardinals are probably going to take Kyler Murray for some reason, I'm going to go ahead and stick with the quarterback they drafted in the first round last year. What a novel idea.
Anyway, I went back and forth between Quinnen and Bosa. For me, they are 1a and 1b on the board. Ultimately, I think this class of interior lineman is a bit deeper throughout the draft. It is really hard to find stud edge rushers anywhere outside the early picks. So, with the first pick in the 2019 TKP Mock Draft, the Cardinals select Nick Bosa, Edge, An Ohio State University.
Bosa, like his older brother, really has all the tools to be a dominant Edge at the next level. He's got quickness, power, hands, and bend. Draft him and line him up for the next ten years and go get the QB. While AZ may have a little more dire need at the interior with Chandler Jones and Terrell Suggs at Edge, you can never have too many good pass rushers. Suggs will be much better as a rotational guy anyway, and Bosa has the versatility to be able to kick inside on passing downs and play the 3-4 DE spot as well as a rush linebacker. The Cards actually have some good pieces on their defense and might benefit from a return to the 3-4 scheme. They might not be as bad as everyone thinks next year, at least on defense. Of course, the real Cardinals probably won't do this so they actually will be bad. Β―\_(γ)_/Β―
I can't find a good gif of him but he's, uh, good.
Scouting Report
Next Pick, please just announce your team and the pick, and then reply with the details. That way we can keep the picks clear and the comments foldable.
Example: With the first pick in the TKP Draft Arizona Picks Nick Nick Bosa, Edge, Ohio State University
Then your explanation in sub thread ;)
Great job!
I have updated the link to the Google Sheet, so if you click on it, you should be able to edit it please let me know if it's not working correctly for you all.
Little Bobby Tables is on the clock until 9:45
If we want to work out trades up or down where/how might we do that?
Trades: If you want to work out a trade, please do so by replying to this comment. If you end up trading a pick, please reorganize the google sheet accordingly.
If for instance you trade with Little Bobby Tables, for the 2nd pick, you must get your pick in, in the same allotted 2 hr. time frame. So your pick will be due by 9:45.
I have never done it this way. It might not get to confusing, but I will give the people what they want. If its gets to confusing, we'll end it. I think that's fair.
Trade rule suggestions:
Rule #1: No intra-TKP-member trades. (Ex: Little Bobby Tables' Falcons cannot trade with Little Bobby Tables' 49ers.)
Rule #2: Trades may involve current-year draft picks only. (Ex: Falcons can not trade the 14th pick and next year's first round pick for the 9th pick.)
Any other thoughts?
Fine by me.
So let it be written, so let it be done.
Anyone want to trade with me? (The raiders)
If the Niners hadn't taken Williams, the Falcons may have considered it, but they have too many needs (I think) to move up that far, if we can't use next-year picks.
Just take Kyler Murray. You know Gruden wants to. ;^)
Uuuuugh it's the right pick but I really dont like Kyler murray or frankly any of the QBs this year
In the Belichekian tradition, I'm offering the last pick in the first round. I'll take offers up until the 28th pick.
Think about Philadelphia's two seconds (#54 and #58) for New England's first (#32) and compensatory third (#103).
If neither of the two players I'd want to target near the end of the first round is still there at #28, I'll pull the offer though.
Edit: Pick #32 was traded to BAL, so this offer is off, I guess
@VTmemory,
Don't pick so quickly after VTflatearther picks. I may have a trade offer for you if the player I want is still available. Will update this post if he is.
(Man, wouldn't it be convenient to have an @ feature right now. Or PMs.)
Proposed Trade
ATL receives:
Pick 1-9
Pick 3-74
BUF receives:
Pick 1-14
Pick 2-45
Pick 5-172
Draft value is about even (1,570 for me, 1572.2 for you) according to the Draft Value Chart.
I thought we couldn't do trades..Nevermind..I thought so too, but I saw this subthread, and decided to propose some sensible rules to govern trades (no trades with yourself, and no future year trades). It would make it more interesting if trades were available.
BTW, if VTmemory doesn't bite (and my preferred player is still there), I have a trade to propose for you.
@HokieHighlander, trade proposal for you....
Proposed Trade
ATL receives:
Pick 1-10
Pick 3-71

DEN receives:

I accept this trade
HokieHighlander, I (IND) have a trade proposal. IND gets pick 16 and 100, CAR gets pick 26, 59, and 89. That's 1055 trade points for CAR and 1000 for IND (using trade chart LBT posted below).
Done.
Can one of you update the sheet to reflect the trade?
Done.
Actually I read it as 1155 for CAR and 1100 for IND, but close enough. It's a solid offer.
I'm potentially interested in moving back with the Ravens (pick 22), depending on who's there.
I can offer picks 56, 64, 73, and 205 in exchange for picks 22, 123, and 193. The value is 844 to you to 842.8 to me (NE).
There are still two more teams picking before your SEA pick. Is this a conditional offer based on whether or not your preferred player is available? If so, you might want to note that in the trade offer.
Not a conditional trade.
I would prefer not to move back quite that far for my first pick. Could I interest you in 22, 85 and 160 for 32, 56, and 134? Value is 972 to you and 968.5 to me.
Deal
Spreadsheet updated.
consider this offer for #22 that I was putting together as you two agreed. You're still moving up, but not as far, and get a couple more picks for your trouble.
Pick 22 (780) for Picks 25, 138, and 163 (782.3) ? Eyeing a few players at 25 for the Eagles, if one or both is still there at 22, would like to move up to get

07hokie (SEA, pick #21) is looking to move down. That would be a similar value (only 20pts different between 1-22 and 1-21). I think he'd take it, if you made it 4-127 instead of 4-138 (or threw in 6-197).
The whole "One User Drafting For Multiple Teams" is throwing me for a loop when it comes to trades
Yeah, it threw me off a bit earlier, too. 07hokie (NE) was looking to trade up with BAL, and 07hokie (SEA) is looking to trade down. But they can't trade with each other (but in the real draft would have been okay).
It doesn't say anywhere in the thread that SEA is looking to trade back
In 07hokie's deleted post riiiiiiiiight down there...(and two more down, he says he's still interested in revisiting the trade)
oh yeah the "delete meeeeeeee" post
I had mentioned it earlier, to VTFBGrad
edit: nevermind
Deleted
According to the standard Draft Value Chart....
NYG gets:
1-21: 800pts
SEA gets:
2-37: 530pts
3-95: 120pts
plus two late rounders: TBD
If you took the next two picks for NYG (4-108 and 4-132), those would only add up to 118pts, which would leave SEA getting 768pts. Still an advantage for NYG, but that's giving up NYG's next four picks. I'm not sure I'd take the deal if I were NYG.
If you really mean late round picks (rounds 6 or 7), then the two late round picks (6-180 and 7-232) would be worth 20pts together, for a total of 670 for SEA. That would leave NYG with:
3 1st round picks
2 4th round picks
3 5th round picks
1 7th round pick
That I'd be okay with. I'd just be wary of giving up all of rounds 2-4 to move back into the 1st.
Just my $.02.
Edit: Well, nevermind, I guess. I'll just leave this up there, though. It was a decent offer for both sides, SEA to get more picks and NYG to get back into the 1st round (and get a QB, I presume) without giving away all their middle round picks.
If he wants to revisit the trade, I'll listen, but I do have a pick in mind if he doesn't.
I'm good staying where I am. NYG as a team is like swiss cheese. They have so many holes to fill. I can't even fill them all.
The NYG are looking to move up in the second round if there is anyone interested.
edit: you clarified with an edit right as i was asking the question
Colts at 34 are listening
I cant use the google sheet at work, so not sure how I can participate
Just make the pick in the thread when you are up and whoever catches it first will fix the sheet. No problem there. I also have to work and that's why I have access to everyone. I'll do my best to do it myself.
If anyone is friends with Little Bobby Tables. He has less then 10 minutes on the clock.
Friends?
Consider me your first friend FAM! :)
Yeah, but I cant see who has been picked or the big board
Did you email me yet? I can send you the link directly or share it if needed. YOu might be clicked on the wrong tab.
No google stuff is blocked on my work network. Sorry if I messed this up
With the second pick in the mock TKP draft, the San Francisco (or should that be San Jose?) 49ers select Quinnen Williams, DL, Alabama.
Best defensive tackle in the draft by far!
Sorry about the delay. I got caught up in a meeting.
No worries JGDON3 is on the clock until 11:45
you got that wrong, it's me and the Jets. Pick below
Raiders are now up.
Raiders and Kyler Murray? I can see that happening.
With the 3rd pick in the draft, the New York Jets select Josh Allen, Defensive End, Kentucky.
Get the pass rusher the defense sorely missed last year.
Eshiben5 drafting for Raiders on the clock
Please use the link above the chart to update the board. ESHIBEN5 is on the board until 11:54
Next three following eshiben5 (OAK) are:
- APrimusHokie (TB)
- VTFootballGrad (NYG)
- VThokies904(JAX)
What teams are still available? I'm interested in taking one over if it's not too late.
APrimusHokie and Little Bobby Tables have 3 teams. You can chose from one of them. You could take the Cowboys off my hands as well.
I'll take the Cowboys since you offered
Awww, I was going to offer up the Chargers. (I would have offered the 49ers, but I've already picked for them. You can't have my Falcons.)
Took the Chargers off your hands.
I'm here to please. I could take the Chargers as well, or just the Cowboys. You guys tell me.
Done
With the 5th pick in TKP mock draft I will take Devin White
Fills a need and hands down the most talented player in the draft, gonna be a stud mark my words
4th pick but who's counting LOL
Sorry typo I locked myself out of the apartment and am absolutely famished
(4th pick)
APrimusHokie on the clock at #5 with TB
On the clock until 12:30
With the actual 5th pick of the Tkp mock draft the Tampa bay buccaneers select DE Rashan Gary from the University of Michigan
VTFootballGrad on the clock with #6
*** CURRENT SELECTION ****
With the 6th Pick of the TKP Draft the New York Football Giants Select:
Montez Sweat | EDGE | Mississippi State
.
Jacksonville | VThokies904 is on the clock until 12:45
BRUH
ELI π IS π WASHED π
And the Giants have another 1st round pick at 17. And they have the ammunition to come up and get a third first round pick, as suggested by this SI mock from yesterday. After picking two EDGE players at 6 and 17 (Sweat and Ferrell, respectively)...
And considering how QBs are being picked in this draft, it's likely that there will be one available at 17 or later.
Are you trying to suggest to a Hokie that my NFL team trading up to take Daniel Jones in the first round should make me feel better???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
You'd rather have another QB and no pass rush?
you can find value in pass rush further back in the draft more readily than you can a QB
I believe in drafting into the strength of the draft. I'm also trying to draft as much like I think the Giants will be drafting.
Sure fair enough. We'll suss it out when all is said and done.
Dave Gettleman will be taking an offensive linemen with one of the picks...lol
Eli might be washed, but the Giants would never take Murray. Not in a million years. He doesn't fit the New York Giants Mold and I'm not very high on Haskins.
They need an Edge rusher really badly, especially with Vernon being traded. Hill should improve, but who knows.
with the 7th pick the Jacksonville jaguars select QB Dwayne haskins from the OHIO STATE.
(not a big dick nick fan and need a QB for the future.)
Detroit | VTflateather is on the clock until 12:45
Next three after VTflatearther (DET) are:
- VTmemory (BUF)
- HokieHighlander (DEN)
- HomebrewHokie08 (CIN)
Flatearther has until 12:45 to make his selection.
What happened to 12:45? I get wanting the pick sooner, but they have a 2 hour window.
Maybe maintain that for today, and do a rules change for tomorrow to 1 hour windows?
Sorry mixed my times up.
If Flatearther misses the pick I think we will autodraft him the TE.
Wow......7 picks in and no qbs taken. As a Redskins fan I would be ecstatic if this really happened....
Edit: 6 picks in....lol.....Haskins goes 7th. Still a great outcome for Washington....Murray and Lock still available with only Denver needing a Qb.....
lol I think VTs moving of QBs to TE has tainted your view. Dwayne could possibly play TE but that is not in the future plans of my franchise at this time. He was indeed drafted to play QB.
JAX just took a QB at 7.
In addition to DEN @ 10, CIN @ 11 and MIA @ 13 could go QB.
Just want to note that I can't see the spreadsheet, but I'll make it happen...
Do you try clicking the link above it? It's set so anyone that clicks it can edit the sheet.
If not find my email in the main post and I will give you access.
I've tried Chrome and IE and it's not letting me see it...i'm at work right now, so i'll try to pull it up when I get home...its no problem...i got this :)
If no one has the Browns...I'm a big DawgPound fan!
Can't remember if that was someones first team, but HomebrewHokie08 can tell you.
First comment in the TKP Mock Draft - Sign Up Thread was HomebrewHokie08 taking his beloved Browns, so I don't think he'll give that one up.
Sam is there another team you would have any interest in?
He can have the rams if he wants them
Well this was off to a nice, swift start.
Next year I'm going to do 2 threads. One for just picks, the other for discussion in General. This got crowded real quick even with the sub picks.
VTmemory would you want to trade for your 9th overall?
Propose a trade above in the trade subthread above. I'm curious as to what you're offering for the #9. Link
With the 8th pick, Detroit selects Clelin Ferrell
On phone and just realized it was my pick.
Update: almost went with Murray because I am over Stafford and it he could Baker Mayfield him out of the starting spot and bring a certain level of excitement that we haven't had since Barry. However, to build longevity you need a pass rush and we don't have one. Ferrell is the next best Edge and it's the smart decision.
In all honesty would have rather traded back but these picks we're flying faster than I presumed and checked with 6 min left!!!
VTmemory (BUF) has until 2:40 to make his pick
Having a run on Edge Rushers. This is why I took mine at 6!
@VTmemory, I've proposed a trade up in the Trades subthread.
Ed Oliver or the OT is the auto pick
Pick the OT! Pick the OT! ;^)
Edit: It probably should be Ed Oliver (after Williams retired), though God knows they need a good OT or two.
I'm giving him an extra 5 minutes just to show up. But I will go with the OT since he's higher rated and it's an area of need for the Bills.
Next three after VTmemory (BUF) are:
- HokieHighlander (DEN)
- HomebrewHokie08 (CIN)
- GISHokie (GB)
aint yall just signed trey flowers
Yup. I have little faith in NE players once they leave NE.
If he works out, fantastic. Hedging bets
AUTO Selection Bills Select:
Jawaan Taylor - OT/OG - Florida
HokieHighlander (DEN) is on the clock until 4:45
@HokieHighlander, look up for proposed trade.
I saw...Denver needs a QB bad...depending on how the next few picks go we can revisit this at 16 with carolina
Well, I'm trying to trade up from 14, but if we're looking at different players, I'm amenable to trading back to 16. If you want to trade up from there, make me an offer and I'll evaluate it once I see who is available.
With the 10th Pick, the Denver Broncos will select Kyler Murray from the University of OK!
John Elway would never make this pick in a million years, but I'm going based off need and they need a QB that will bring them some excitement. Denver is going to have to rebuild their offensive line and he's going to have consistently be over two hundred, but I think he can get there.
HomebrewHokie08 Cinci is on the clock until 4:55
Great pick for the Broncos. I can realistically see this happen, if AZ is calling bluff right now.
Elway would never do it...he's even come out and said he's worried about him taking snaps from center..SMH...
He'll prob take Lock or trade down
Trade accepted above to move Bungles down a couple spots.
Little Please update the excel document to reflect the trade. I know you have your pick ready.
GISHokie will be on the clock until 6 PM, as I know Little has his pick ready to be put in.
GISHokie's pick will be the last official pick of the day. We can continue after 6, the thread just won't be as watched/updated as much until tomorrow at 9 AM.
I'll do that when I get home and can work on the desktop.
I did the main trade for you.
With the 11th pick in the draft, the Atlanta Falcons select Ed Oliver, DL, Houston.
good maneuvering
Thanks. Was trying to make sure I got the guy I wanted while retaining two picks on day 2. The Falcons have three big needs that I've got to fill, and it'll take at least third round picks to do that.
Sucks to lose the impact guy I could get in the second, but Oliver will make up the difference on the DL, methinks.
With the 12th pick in the draft, the Green Bay Packers select DK Metcalf, WR, Ole Miss.

VTFlateather will be on the clock until 6 PM, as I know Little has his pick ready to be put in.
VTFlateather pick will be the last official pick of the day. We can continue after 6, the thread just won't be as watched/updated as much until tomorrow at 9 AM.
So I have to pick by 6? Or I already have until 9am tomorrow?
You need to get your pick in by 6. You are on the clock.
After 6 people are free to make their picks, but their is no clock until tomorrow at 9AM.
This is a bit off topic, but I think there is an appetite out there for this sort of thing. I'm really surprised yahoo hasn't taken advantage of people doing mock drafts of the NFL draft.
I've seen discussions and posts about people's individual mock drafts, where they used canned needs and then picked when it was their turn, but nothing like getting a group of people to do a mock. Might be interesting.
With the 13th pick of the draft, Dolphins select Cody Ford OL, Oklahoma
I know the OL for the Dolphins is bad. Googled the few highest rated guys (sorry I don't follow all of CFB as much as I used to) and this article made my decision for me.
NFL Draft 2019: Oklahoma offensive lineman Cody Ford is Miami Dolphins fan
That's a good pick. There is some debate whether Miami is looking at QB this year (Fitz Magic is not a long-term solution IMnsHO), or holding out until next year's QB class. But you can never go wrong with a good OT.
Yeah, I would say the definitely need a QB and would actually be nice because Fitz is "serviceable."
But it's hard to pass up a top notch OT. Same mentality with the Detroit pick. QB's are sexy, OL/DL is long term planning.
HomebrewHokie08 - Cincy is back on the board. He will have until 10AM tomorrow to make his pick if he choices.
He can also make a pick anytime in between, and we can continue drafting with no time limit until 9 AM when the clock will be enforced.
I'll check in each hour to see if people are still making picks.....this was a good idea. Next year I'll make a true big board to follow and take my GM duties more seriously. I kinda threw a wish list together at the last minute....lol
My 1st team's pick is in the 20s and I'm looking at trading out of the first round with my 2nd team. If you've already made your big board you're ahead of me.
I would be doing just the opposite. With the Seahawks having only a few picks, I'd be trading back with them to get more picks. And with NE's wealth of picks, a need at TE, and with Hockenson still on the board, I'd have NE trading up to get him.
Just my $.02.
I am Seattle and New England
Right. I was saying have Seattle trade down and NE trade up, but not necessarily with each other.
For NE, trading 1-32, 2-64, and 3-73 to CIN for 1-14 would be pretty close according to the draft value chart, which would get you Hockenson and still leave NE with 2-56, 3-97, and 3-101 on day two. You've got the draft capital to move up and get a replacement for Gronk, use it.
But that's just my $.02.
Gooble Gooble Chumps, I needed to truncate your name for the doc. GG Chump.
HomebrewHokie09 I truncated you to Homebrew.
Little Bobby Tables I abbreviated you to LBT.
I'm able to see the spreadsheet now and I must say it's immaculate...lol...is there any way we can color code the trades that were done by us...im going through them now and i can't tell which trades were already there and which trades were done by us. If not, thats cool.
Sure great idea
Color Codes have been added. When doing a trade a TKP trade in the future, please use the same yellow.
Also I added a new sheet that should be keeping track of picks by teams. It will need to be resorted when in ascending order when a trade is worked out.
With the 14th pick, the Cincinnati Bengals select Devin Bush, LB, Mich.
ACowne63 (WAS) is not technically on the clock now, but is able to pick. If he doesn't, he'll be on the clock in the morning, and VTFootballGrad can tell us until when. After ACowne63 (WAS), the next three up are...
- HokieHighlander (CAR)
- VTFootballGrad (NYG)
- NewportHokie (MIN)
He'll be on the clock until 11AM.
I recommend dropping the time on the clock to one hour for rounds two and beyond.
Fine by me
With the 15th pick the Washington Redskins select Jonah Williams, OL Alabama.
As a Skins fan I would be disappointed if we took Williams with Burns and Greedy still on the board....unless the plan is to move Williams to guard......
HokieHighlander has until 11:13 to make his pick
See trade thread for my proposal
Done. Please make the change VTFootballGrad.
Done. jgladish is now on the clock until 11:13
anyone looking to move up into 23rd pick in the first round. looking for a 2nd and late round pick.
With the 16th pick, the Colts select Brian Burns, EDGE, Fla. St.
VTFootballGrad (NYG) is now on the clock. The next three after VTFootballGrad are...
- NewportHokie (MIN)
- TWick72 (TEN)
- VTmemory (PIT)
Thats a great pick and your prob knew what I was going to make it...
You were going to go EDGE-EDGE in the first? Interesting.
I think NYG will go EDGE-QB or EDGE-OT in two weeks.
No I was going to take Brian Burns...Carolina has been looking for him for a while and if Sweat isn't there at 16, they will prob take him. Carolina is in the middle of transitioning to a 3-4 hybrid and Burns will fit this role to a T...there are some draft experts that say he moves like a safety.
Gotcha. Got my teams mixed up.
I think Edge - OT is accurate for Giants, but we need a RT, not a LT and not many RT's get drafted in the first. Now if there were someone available that could play at LT and shift over there eventually I would have taken the OT off of the board with the 17.
NYG defense is in shambles, and I think Greedy is fantastic value for that pick.
man EDGE guys are at a premium in this draft.
*** CURRENT SELECTION ****
With the 6th Pick of the TKP Draft the New York Football Giants Select:
"Greedy" Williams - CB - LSU
.
.
.
.
NewportHokie (Minny) is on the clock until 12:20
Extactic to get the best CB in the draft at Pick 17!
Giant's secondary is very thin at CB, value + need is all where it needed to be. Jackrabbit is probably a cap casualty after next season, so this makes sense.
Now in real life, I would have tried to trade out to get a 1st rounder for next year if it were offered to me, as I think the QB crop is better next year then this year.
Maybe they should make you the GM...
Waiting for Gobble Gobble Chumps reaction to this pick.
Gettleman isn't exactly known for working the draft to trade up/back and collect picks. If he were smarter, he would have traded out of #2 last year. Positional scarcity ought to inform value in terms of drafting, especially given the known rookie wage scale -- I think Gettleman does a terrible job of this.
Sweat and Williams isn't bad, but unless THE plan is to move up and grab a QB next year, i don't understand how you don't take a QB at either pick. Especially with every QB on the board at 6.
Edit: for instance, I like a QB at 6 and moving up from 17 to 16 to get Burns way more than I like Sweat and Williams.
I didn't want to force a QB pick because I don't hold these QBs in as high regard. Murray was draftable, but I hate his attitude (Is he committed to football?), and the Giants would never draft him. The other picks seem like people that would be backups and or just busts to me.
Fair enough. If you don't like the guy, don't take the guy.
Somehow Gettleman has managed to accumulate 12 picks this draft. Though I hate that he used OBJ to acquire some of those picks.
With the 18th pick of the draft the Minnesota Vikings select: Christian Wilkins....Clemson University......
TWick is on the clock until 12:25
TWick72 (TEN) is now on the clock. The next three after TWick72 are...
- VTmemory (PIT)
- 07Hokie (SEA)
- jgdon3 (BAL)
Minnesota dropped from the 2nd ranked rush defense in 2017 to the 17th ranked rush defense in 2018. The main problem was an inconsistent defensive front that never recovered from the pre-season mental health issues of Everson Griffin. Christian Wilkins will provide depth at first and should be able to replace Griffin by seasons end.
I'm out to lunch for the next hour. Please update the sheet when the pick comes in. Or add the autodraft.
If I am understanding this correctly, TWick would autodraft the TE Hockenson right now?
Yes
WR Brown is a primary need. Hock is secondary.
Difference between drafting for need vs best player (and TE is a secondary need on the sheet).
Gotcha. Healthy balance of both.
Pick 19 is TE from Iowa TJ Hockenson to the Titans, autodrafted for TWick
VTmemory is on the clock for Pittsburgh until 2:40, i guess
If VTMemory does not show he will be on autodraft for the rest, and or will be replaced with the first willing TKP member.
Sorry guys the last update I saw was that you weren't sure if we were doing this and then I've been offline for two days due to a family funeral.
No problem if you would like to be back in we can make that happen.
Count me in
The next three up after VTmemory (PIT) are...
- 07Hokie (SEA)
- 07Hokie (NE) - traded with BAL
- VThokies904 (HOU)
Technically, since TWick was on the clock until 12:25, then VTmemory should be on the clock until 2:25.
Given PIT's primary needs of WR, LB, CB, EDGE (with secondary needs of S, TE), I would think Marquise Brown (WR, Oklahoma) would be an appropriate autodraft. Or maybe CB, either Deandre Baker or Byron Murphy.
Thoughts?
Byron Murphy
Alright. It's 2:29. Would you call the ball, sir?
I went with 2 h from when i input the previous pick for the timeline
I know. I was just thinking the autodraft would have accomplished at 12:25, which would then put VTmemory on the clock at that point. I'm fine waiting to 2:40, though.
AUTO SELECTION
The Pittsburg Steelers take Byron Murphy - CB - Washington
I drafted as Pittsburgh in my NFL teams page and this is who I took.
Unfortunately VTmemory is going to Autodraft for both teams unless he gets a hold of us.
His spot is immediately up for grabs and should be a hot commodity as I know many VT fans are actually Pittsburgh fans.
O7Hokie (Seattle) is on the clock until 4:30
You mean to tell me the Steelers won't take Antonio Brown's cousin?
With the 21st pick of TKP Mock Draft, the Seattle Seahawks select
Jonathan Abram, Safety, Mississippi
you're up next too with NE
edit: fwiw i would have liked for the Eagles to trade up for this guy, but I felt like it would have taken too much to make that work. was hoping you'd have SEA going line here
With the 22nd pick, the New England Patriots select
Marquise Brown, WR, Oklahoma
VThokies904 is up until 5:20
So, until Monday morning, right?
we're going 9-6
The pick that follows is will have to get their pick in by 9 AM on the dot Monday morning.
However, I think that if you can put your pick in over the weekend please do so. Need to get this thing going a little faster which we did yesterday.
There will be no time limit over the weekend, just try to do it if you check in and see you are up.
VThokies904 (HOU) is on the clock. The next three up after VThokies904 are...
- eshiben5 (OAK)
- gobble gobble chumps (PHI)
- HokieHighlander (CAR)
@VThokies904, I am offering PHI's #25 and #127 (total value 765) for HOU's #23 (value 760)
oh man lol have I shown my card is it to late to make this trade? I didn't see it till after I posted
Yeah it doesn't make much sense to back and undo it unfortunately
I could have gotten what I wanted with your later pick oh well, I gotta pay better attention. lol Friday afternoon and trying to slam everything out so I can get on the road to Blacksburg. (got that longggggg 9 hour drive tonight) itll get after ya! I appreciate the offer!
not a fun pick but with the 23rd pick the Houston Texans select Garrett Bradbury Center NSCT wolfpack.
Hardnosed!
Eshiben5 (OAK) on the clock until 9 am on Monday.
anyone looking to trade up? looking for some seconds
Try gobble gobble chumps (PHI). He just offered a trade above that was overlooked; he might still want to trade.
Nah I'm good. I wanted one of two for PHI at 25 and VThokie904 left both on the board, so one is guaranteed to be there for me after eshiben's pick
I'm gonna bump this back up
With the 1st pick in the 2019 Last Person Standing in GoT draft.....NewportHokie selects Arya Starks.......lol......my bad.....wrong draft....
Bumping back up to front page
eshiben5 has had plenty of time to think about his pick. Please get it in by 9 AM.
With the 24th pick the Oakland (Las Vegas Los angels) raiders select zach Allen, DE, Boston college
Gooble Gooble Chumps is on the clock until 11AM. All of the Eagle VT fans wait in anticipation.
10 minute warning.
#25 - Dexter Lawrence (DT) Clemson. Eagles draft to a strength, fill a need for depth on the IDL. Gets to learn from Fletcher Cox and Malik Jackson.
Curious what AZHokie and Alum think
Neither have even commented on any of the other threads. I wonder if they are evening taking a peek.
Not a flashy pick but championships are won in the trenches.
With the 26th Pick...The Carolina Panthers Select Andre Dillard from Washington State!
Auto Selection for the Raiders - Deandre Baker - CB - Georgia
I'm on the clock.
*** CURRENT SELECTION ***
The LA Chargers Select Jeffery Simmons - IDL - Mississippi State
via GIPHY
APrimusHokie is on the clock until 1:55 PM
Alright with the 29th pick in the TKP mock draft. The Kansas city Chiefs take Rock Ya-Sin CB from the university of Temple
Another addition to the All-Name Team
GISHokie on the clock for #30 (GB) until 3:27
Detroit is looking to move up from 43 if anyone is looking to slide down
Edit: Or Miami up from 48
Colts at 34 are open to offers
Proposed 620 v 641 draft value chart
MIA receives
2-34
4-129
4-135
IND receives
2-48
3-78
EDIT: conditional if player(s) attempting to trade up for are still available
I would be more interested in a trade with Detroit. Not looking to move down quite that far
Let's try to finish the round by the end of the day.
shouldn't APrimusHokie be on the clock until 4:56 or something and then jgdon3 until 9:00 am?
Good catch. I wish people would just be ready to pick. I always look a few picks ahead and try to figure out who I want in what order, so I am ready to go.
With the 30th pick in the draft, the Green Bay Packers select David Edwards, OT from Wisconsin.
We seem to be moving like molasses...lol...I figured we would be finishing the 2nd rnd today....the weekend break has gotten everyone off their groove....
I think we're switching to 1 hour picks starting with 33. Although that would still be min-May before we're actually finished with the 254th pick.
Yes. Getting in <10 picks per day is a little rough
We are moving to 1 hr. picks starting round 2.
With the 31st pick The Los Angeles Rams select Noah Fant TE Iowa University
With the 32nd pick the Baltimore Ravens select AJ Brown, WR, Mississippi
Gotta hit on one of these receivers EVENTUALLY
Honestly the Ravens need a jersey with all the WRs they've drafted on in a la the browns QB jersey, it's been that bad for all 22 years.
I'll create the new thread a little later tonight. IF a pick is made I will reduplicate it in the new thread.
Any other thread suggestions? I am going to put the trades section as the first post.
Since I am drafting for the Bengals, it would be nice if you could post the rap sheets and police records of the prospects so I can make sure to get some street cred.
Just at a quick glance rams have 94th pick not Jags
With the 33rd pick, the Cardinals select Dalton Risner, T/G, Kansas St.
I will hold off on picking 34 for now because I may trade it.
I'll trade you the rams 3rd and 4th round picks for it
Just third and fourth, no second? That's not gonna be enough value
Rams don't have a 2nd, even if they trade both their late 3rds there isn't enough value for them to trade up this far.
If this was madden it would
Buccaneers 2nd and 4th for your 2nd
I am going with Detroit's offer.
Willing to trade Detroit's pick but need time to review. Could you make an offer since I'm not near a PC
Based off trade values Detriots 2nd (43) + their 4th(111) and 5th(146) is fair value for pick 34. I am not jgladish, but that could be a decent offer if you want to move up.
IND gets: 43, 88 (3rd rd), 146 (5th rd) - 652 pts
DET gets: 34, 100 (3rd rd from CAR) - 660 pts
Swap picks in the third and give up a 5th to move up in the 2nd
I am in let's do it
Okay, done. You are on the clock. Would update the spreadsheet but I am on mobile.
Buccs 2nd and 4th Are on the plate. Looking for 3rd 5th 7th
Quantity over quality
.
Its just my opinion I like having a lot of picks
With the 34th pick, Detroit selects Drew Lock, QB, Missouri. Board updated to the best of my knowledge on mobile
And now Stafford is on the clock...
Yup! This is something that takes balls and Mrs Ford wouldn't actually approve, but I think bring in Lock, let him sit a year and send Stafford packing next year. Not in love with Lock by any means but there needs to be someone in our locker room with potential to push him (out the door)
Eshiben/OAK on the clock
Ill get a 2nd round thread up in about a half hour. I had a busy night last night.
If anyone can format the first round pick results some how, where I can embed them and it looks pretty, let me know, and I will get them in the top.
