I am already excited for the next installment/season of MCU movies after watching this trailer. I am loving Tom Holland as Spider-Man and I his acting has been top notch especially in Avenger's Endgame. Also, I did not know he was British.
What do you guys think of the trailer? What are your expectations for the new MCU ( new heroes, villains, etc.)?

I worry about the multi-verse.
I think that introducing it as a response to the snap is a good way to introduce it, but i worry it will just end up being an excuse to have lazy writing and continuity errors dismissed as "but its the multiverse! its okay!"
edit: I'm thinking about the mess that was any/all of the x-men films and how they related to one another
time travel + multiverse = any and all stories can be retold in a different way. Not sure how I feel about it either. Seems like too many possibilities that could hurt the direction of the franchise.
For now, it'll work for the Disney+ Loki series (seems like he is alive on a different timeline with the tesseract) and will be interesting for Gamora and Star Lord in GotG3. So, I'll let the multiple timelines and multiverses play out before I decide it's too unwieldy.
Yeah, I've been pleasantly surprised with how well they have handled the giant scope of all of this so far. I'd love for Disney to be able to keep it up, but part of me feels like eventually it is all going to come crashing down, it is just a matter of when.
I'm enjoying the ride though.
I for one have reached comic book movie overload and would appreciate movie studios coming up with something fresh to fill the role of blockbusters. Of course money talks and it will take some sort of crash in sales before it happens.
Vampires died off, werewolves died off, zombies died off, post-apocalyptic teen angst died off.
Super heroes will follow the trend eventually.
I think Super Hero movies for the most part were made for the big screen and that's what draws people to the theaters. I felt like I had to see it in the theater, and there was no other way to see it then at the movies and in 3D.
The part that I will want to be explained is how all Peter's friends and classmates were snapped so that they're all still HS age (just 5 years later). Close to 50% of them should have survived the snap and thus be 5 years older and out of HS.
Related note: Can they drink legally in HS if their ID says born over 21 years ago?
The Russo's explained this after the movie. It wasn't his whole class. They said the kids who survived the snap moved on but anyone you see in his class in Far from home were snapped also. So basically all the main characters in Spiderman were snapped.
You are misunderstanding how statistics works here. The Law of Large Numbers explains why it is perfectly reasonable why all of some groups got snapped while some groups weren't affected at all. This probability theory law states that the observed average will approach the theoretical expected value (i.e. 50% of all life snapped) as the number of samples becomes large (i.e. goes to infinity *heh*). Over small groups, 50% would not have to hold true.
Over a small group like Peter's friends (say there are 6 of them) the chance of them all being snapped is not as small as you might think. The exact calculation here would be (1/2)^6 or 1/64 or one out of 64. That is approximately a 1.5% chance. With nearly 7 billion people on the planet, that is pretty reasonable odds that a group of 6 friends will be snapped.
But his whole class? They're making it appear in that scene with Ned at the end Endgame that he is back in HS with all his classmates as if that was expected. Perhaps that scene with Ned wasn't his HS from 2018, but they way responded to the environment made it seem like it.
Probably but we only see 6 of them in the trailer. Either way, it still holds true if you count 30 or 50 or 100. Over 7 billion people, the chances are still reasonable that it could happen. We never see the whole of Peter's school. Really only that core group.

We know that Peter, Ned, MJ, Liz, and Flash are reprising their roles and are the actors are probably young enough to not be able to play someone 5 years older.
Aunt May, Toomes (Vulture), and Martin Starr (forget his character's name) are also back, but could theoretically pull of playing someone 5 years older.
The other thing that people conveniently glaze over is that state of the actual world after the snap. Did you see the garbage piled up outside of peoples houses?
The snap messed up the natural order of the world. The first year, I bet they didn't even have enough teachers to teach a normal schedule seeing that 1/2 of them were probably gone.

Consider the idea that half the productive world disappeared. So, for five years, you had reduced demand and reduced production, but no controlled reduction in either. Then suddenly that entire population pops back up with no stores in place to provide for them. You'd have mass hysteria within months when food shortages happened.

Yes, they are in Europe in this movie and the drinking age is lower there.
Marvel is very good at its twists, so I wonder how it's going to fool me out of thinking that a main plot point is Peter wants Mysterio to be his next father figure/iron man, only to have Mysterio double cross him and become one of his enemies. Or to have something go down like in Dr. Strange with Baron Mordo

It was originally a movie starring Jamie Bell, but then was turned into a musical.
This leads me to believe he does his own stunts or at least a good portion of them.

Judging by those two characters in the preview image, he sure can play a variety of looks!
I don't think "Far from home" title was meant for spider-man traveling to Europe, but I think he will probably have to go into another universe/earth to defeat Mysterio. They gave it away when they talked about multi-verse in this trailer.

My thoughts are that when he says the other world has monsters/ villains that they could use a spiderman of their own, it's all just mysterio
So you think it's more like he's recruiting Spider-Man to help out? That could be an interest angle should they take it.
