Everything looks different, is this a bug or a feature?
Not sure I like the lack of contrast between the white background and the white comments.

This is how its always looked not quite sure what you mean there?
Not me, the contrast :(
Wat
This is the worst "Spot the Differences" bar top game ever.
Hey everyone, let's count the pixels!
And remember, no one likes a cheaters. So no fancy maths like Statistics or Calculus.
Certainly shouldn't be slowing down the page too much...
Or changing the color of the pages...
Seems like your monitor has given up or someone has changed the color settings on your comp. Try testing the app on a different computer/monitor.
I was looking at this 5x trying to figure out what is different. Then I'm also looking at your right menu bar ... I'm wondering .... and at the risk of asking a dumb question, I'll ask anyway ... have you never opened a thread more than once?
Comments only have a yellow background if they are new. Green background if they are upvoted >=20 (I think), plaid background if they are upvoted 100+. Comments that aren't new (i.e. they've loaded on a previous page load) and that don't qualify for an upvote color will have a gray background (I *think* this is what you're referring to as "white").
Comments turn green at 10 upvotes
Blurred if -10
Checks out.
Plaid is for pictures of sweet delicious pies
Did you get a new computer or monitor?
Is this your first time on the desktop site?
So, when can we officially make this Mayo Thread 2019?
Steganography (/ˌstɛɡəˈnɒɡrəfi/ ( listen) STEG-ə-NOG-rə-fee) is the practice of concealing a file, message, image, or video within another file, message, image, or video.
Sorry y'all, my monitor's contrast was turnt up to 11, causing all the gray to appear white.
Anyway, how do y'all feel about mayo?
What about NASCAR?
I hope the M&M car or Logano goes into the wall. Did I do okay or am I living in the past?
An abomination that destroys quality food and needs to be wiped from human existence
Wait, what is this?
A & B are the same color.
They look different to me, but I do feel that they could be the same color if they take were laying side by side next each other on a white background.
It has to do with how your brain interprets tone and contrast. There are similar examples that deal with shape and scale.
In the same unit where we discussed this in color theory we dealt with the after-image effect by looking at a bright, inverted american flag then quickly looking at a blank white wall. The after image appeared as a standard american flag on the empty wall.

Things like this make me irrationally mad.
Anyone who sees colors on this dress other than black and blue is a goddamn maroon.
I heard yanny
I've seen all the explanations and know exactly what's happening, but I can't even force myself into seeing blue and black. That dress is ALWAYS white and gold in that picture to me.
I could train myself to hear Yanny or Laurel at will, but that dress never changes.
If I focus hard enough I can see either color. First time though, its White and Gold.
Hey, you two must be team pie people BEACAUSE YOU'RE SO WRONG I CAN'T EVEN BEGIN TO EXPLAIN IT TO YOU IN AN ADEQUATE MANNER!
I'm team pie and i've only ever seen the dress as black and blue
You got an issue with being a Maroon?
go U of C?
No, Roanoke College.
Which way is the dancer spinning?
Yes
Which way clock wise or counter clockwise?
I keep seeing it counter clockwise, but I know its both. I've been trying to see it as clockwise, but I cant figure out the trick to it
The trick is to look at the shadow for a second or 2 at the bottom.
I found that closing my eyes for 1-2 seconds and then blinking rapidly helped more than looking at the shadow
this is a good one. i predominantly see it counter clockwise but if i really think about it, it can see clockwise
Same here.
The trick is to look at the shadow for a second or 2. If you do that the image should change directions.
