With all the crap that goes on at the D-1 level, it's great that we have (and have had for 30+ years) coaches that can value more than just football.

It's great to see him open up a little more about his family and personal life. For all the grief on here about being closed off (and I too think he can be a little to vague in answers) the Bitter piece, this, and a few other articles seem to help connect more than in years past.
It's also very true, this isn't an act for the article. His wife and kids were there the entire time I spent with the teams both times.
