Recently Yahoo sent a "reminder" email for renewing our TKP from last season. There were 16 teams; 12 of which were actively participating.
If you have any interest in playing College Fantasy football this season, let's hear it.
Which provider would you prefer? Last season Yahoo had some struggles in their first offering of Fantasy Football for College Teams. Do we trust them to have improved? Are there better offerings out there for playing leagues?
New offerings (from Yahoo) In short, Yahoo is offering the option to include or exclude any of the P5 leagues (+ND), and they have updated their waiver process to follow the college football schedule (whereas last season, waivers lazily followed the NFL season schedule).
Additional Thoughts If you're interested in playing college football fantasy this season, please mark your interest here, and any additional preferences you may have (If you want to be the commissioner; if you're prefer a different platform, if you think having just an ACC/SEC/ND league would be cool, etc...).
Hopefully we can start a new league or two this season if there is enough interest.

Yes I would but we have to have a more streamlined league pick and Yahoo has to get their shit together. Missed multiple players not active last year with no warning.
The only competing platform I'm aware of is Fantrax.
I imagine there's more conversation out there over which site people prefer, but there's an entire reddit dedicated to College Fantasy Football; this particular back-and-forth seems to shed some light on some people's preferences and recommendations.
I think I sent the reminder...I'm ready for the new season and any new league if there's one created...going all in on Fantasy this year...

Nibble on Virginia Tech players
After a frustrating and disappointing 6-7 season, Virginia Tech players won't be high on many fantasy boards, but in the later rounds some steals could emerge. First, I like that the Hokies' defense was so surprisingly bad last season because coordinator Bud Foster will make sure that does not happen again. A lot of three-and-outs means Virginia Tech's offense will have more chances to score. Quarterback Ryan Willis will have some major targets in receiver Damon Hazelton and Tre Turner, who could continue putting up major numbers. Running back Deshawn McClease could have a breakout year in the backfield as well. Plus, the schedule looks promising with games against Old Dominion (which beat Virginia Tech last season), Furman and Rhode Island by mid-October. If coach Justin Fuente can't score lots of points and win games this season, then there could be real problems in Blacksburg.
Are we running two leagues? I was already renewed for the old league but just got an invite for a new one.
If there are two leagues, could we keep the old one as it is but do something different with the new one, like make it ACC-only or something like that? (That's tough with a 16-team league, I know...)
I think ACC and SEC or Big 10 should help fill out the league.
As of right now, there is only one league running; it's the Newer league you just signed up for (explanation in link).
A thought on a second league:
(65) Power 5 teams split amongst 16 managers seemed to be a pretty decent ratio last season.
A similar ratio is (42:10):
- Big 10 (14)
- SEC (14)
- ACC (14; we could add Notre Dame to make 15 or leave them out)
We could cap that league at 10. Name it something like "Experimental League"; maybe hold the draft right as the bigger league finishes?

We could just keep the new one, then, and leave it how it was before re: conferences.
