As if a good 2010 team didn't lose to JMU. Too many people here are so damn negative like yes it was ugly but they played a solid second half and won the football. That's why you have Dax in interviews saying he doesn't know when wins became losses. Wait until the end of the season before there's something to say about the program.

He had a 39% completion rate with 1 TD and 1 interception today in Maryland's loss to Temple. You're the exact kind of fan I was referencing. Ice your eyes tomorrow morning to make them look less puffy.

JJ is a game manager and Willis is a strong backup QB. Im fine with him being a bridge QB to the next QB but I just thought it was petty to cherry pick the bad game JJ had after 2 great games.

It's cherry picking because it was the one bad game he had so far and it was still better than Willis. It seems petty since there are so many VT fans who want to see him fail. Im fine with him leaving and want to see him do well.

Josh Jackson would not be leading the country in turnovers if he was starting for VT and we'd probably be 3-0 without Willis' FOUR TURNOVER game against boston college.
counter?

I was just a response to the title of the thread "Could be worse" a few minutes after OP posted it. With a lot more comments pushing it down the thread I can see how the context would be lost.
But, to answer your request, one thing on the planet that couldn't be a lot better? Pussy. That shit is perfect.

Talked to a group of Miami fans at one of my kids class birthdays. They don't think he is the answer for Miami. Recruits very well. Can't in game coach they say.

Well, I find it a little scary when Kansas handily beats the team that beat you. Granted, we should have won the BC game without all the turnovers, and maybe Kansas came out with something to prove, after their loss to Kennesaw State (or whomever the FCS opponent was) the previous week.

This should be a comment in the other games thread not an entire new thread, imo
This is like telling someone's who's entire family just died, that it could have been worse because the world could have ended.
You know VT won, right?
Yes, but you and I completely disagree on what that says about the program.

Sick joke: "Other than that Mrs. Lincoln, how did you like the play?"
Why do we have a new thread every week on JJ this is petty as hell
Because some people still cry themselves to sleep at night that he isn't here.
JJ is so much better than Willis. Willis couldnt manage 150 yards against a FCS team.
Unless the box score was incorrect that I saw, he did go 17/21, which is a great completion percentage!
I think he only threw like 5 or 6 passes in the second half though.
Hard to throw for a ton of yards when half your play calls are bubble screens

I watched the game live. He was terrible. He had no time in the pocket. Temples Dline played real well and Temples QB threw a couple of great balls.
How is it cherry picking? It happened today

I don't wish him ill at all. I do wish he would have stuck around to compete, I would rather have him than not.
What I actually don't like is the people that believe we would be a good team if he had stayed.
I agree with you there. Willis is not the problem with this team.
He is not THE problem but his play is A problem.

Josh Jackson looked like hot garbage against Temple.
One bad game with 3 games played really skews statistics....
If Willis and/or VT is still leading the country in turnovers by game 6 or 7, then there's an issue.
JJ had a 35% completion rating on Saturday. That's brutally bad.
Could be a lot better.
Thanks "old" Justin Fuente. Name one thing on the planet that couldn't be a lot better. Jeeez.

I'd still prefer to have that team right now....their 2-1 is a hell of a lot better than ours
Is it? They just lost to the Temple Owls for the second year in a row, and didn't get into the end zone until the third quarter.
I don't think TKP is in the mood to appreciate your brand of humor right now.
Weren't we just saying it could be worse, we could be Tennessee? They just murdered their cupcake game
TN would likely dominate us
To be fair Manny Diaz is a heck of a coach.

Agree. But I was making the joke that he was HC for Temple (for a week).
Would be a step up from Fuente then
We could be Tennessee.
/thread
We could be UCLA.
We could be storming the field as an at home, ranked, 7.5 point favorite
Everything will be ok! Or it won't...
- My Dad.
Could be worse, could be like Sharkbait and still locked out of TKP. He need a place to vent too.
For what it's worth, you're not helping him whatsoever here.
The JJ comment is unnecessary
I feel like we should have a post called the aftermath for each game we squeak by with a gut wrenching 3 hour stomach ache
Could be GA Tech.
You know we're in trouble, when we see these kinds of posts
I'm trying to figure out exactly how the rest of the season should be predicted.
Best indicator of future performance is past performance. Mediocre.

Could be Georgia Tech. At least we beat (though barely) our FCS team.
You know...there are several other teams saying "at least we're not Virginia Tech right now".
