Hatin' on... Manny Diaz

This isn't usually my favorite thread, but it's become a fixture and it needs to carry on.

I know we're all at a bad place in our fandome right now, and there has been a lot of energy expelled by most of us putting on our imaginary AD hats and telling Virginia Tech what they need to do after Friday night, and they NEED TO DO IT NOW.

The bottom line is AD Babcock, Coach Fuente, and Coach Foster do not have a magic wand to fix this. Whatever is going to shake out isn't going to until December. They're all going to do pretty much EXACTLY what they've been doing all year, save for maybe a little tweaking. They've got a defense with guys playing out of position, a QB whose strength is throwing the ball whose throwing arm is hurt, and another QB whose strength is running the ball who can't raise his one of his arms for a high five from Coach Fuente. (Which isn't a big deal, because if you believe a lot of fans, Fuente has as many high-fives as a hen has teeth.) They're just going to do what they're paid to do, and get a football squad ready for a tough, tough road game.

So let's do us, and let things play out.
