Ouch. Just ouch. Wake only winning by 3 really torched my weekend as it took down three different parlays. Who would have thunk that an undefeated Wake would be less effective at BC than Kansas? Add to that Clemson and Wisconsin struggling with far inferior teams and it was just a bad weekend overall.
One more cherry on top: having BYU (-2.5), giving up all hope when Toledo drives to the red zone with a minute left, then BYU forces a fumble. A minute left to get within field goal range and win the game and my bet! Hurray! And what does BYU do? Throw a near pick six that's punched in on the next play.

Don't bet, kids.
Anyway, on to this week's lines.
- Temple (-10.5): Eastern Carolina is averaging 13 points against P5 competition as compared to allowing 32. They are sporting two blowout losses to NC State and Navy and a squeaker of a win against powerhouse ODU. Temple is coming off holding GT to 2 points. Holy shit the other tech is straight garbage. Temple will cover.
- UNCHeat (-10):UNCHeat is coming off an emotional last second loss to the #1 team in the nation. They are due for a hangover game. Counterpoint. GT is coming off of a game where they managed a whopping 2 points on
offencedefense. Holy shit the other tech is straight garbage. UNCHeat will cover. - Miami (-13.5): I'm as depressed as anyone about how our season is going. However, the coastal is awful from top to bottom. We are a combined 1-7 against ranked teams (still not sure how Pitt beat UCF). Our best argument for a clear leader is LOLUVa, which looks like a middling Frank Beamer team stumbling to 10 wins in a weak conference only to get smacked down in a championship game and embarrassed in a bowl game. Everyone's best wins are against objectively crappy coastal foes. And, holy shit, the other tech is straight garbage. Putting a quarter on the Tech ML, not because I think we'll win, but I because believe in coastal chaos and we're due a lucky bounce.
- UGa (-25): You know what looks better than a 4 TD blowout of a shitty FCS program? a 4 TD blowout of a shitty SEC program. I'm betting against Tennessee until I get proven otherwise.
- Auburn (-3): Auburn has knocked off a ranked aTm and a ranked Oregon and blown out everyone else on their schedule. Florida fell ass backwards into beating Miami and barely handled Kentucky. I know this is supposed to be a powerhouse meeting of two undefeated storied programs, but I don't see Auburn letting this one stay close.
As always, please do not take my ramblings as legitimate gambling advice. You will lose your shirt and anything else you're foolish enough to bet based on my idiocy.
Lines may change over the course of the week. I also may have made errors copying them. Always triple check when money is at stake

1-4 thanks to the BYU shenanigans that hokie07ME already touched on. I should just shoot for 1 win the rest of the way.
UCF loses to Pitt by one point and suddenly they aren't being favored by double digits against AAC teams anymore? Give me the knights.
In the season of #21 not covering, take Texas Tech +9.5 against OKSt.
Ugh, Murland is a 2td FAV over Butgers???? Glad I'm not required to watch that debacle.
Temple, Texas Tech, UNC, Miami, Memphis, Ole Miss, Baylor. Either on their own or on a 3-way parlay.
Ole Miss and Memphis were winners.
Had UNC/Miss/Patriots on a parlay card. Turn $5 into $32.50.
And, just for the record, teams against the #21 team are 6-0 ATS so far this year. Texas Tech took it to the next level winning outright as a nearly double digit dog.
Here are some fun facts regarding Virginia Tech against the spread:
-Tech is just 1 of 4 FBS teams who haven't covered the spread in any game this season (Akron, Ga Tech, Vanderbilt).
-Our Hokies are the only FBS team to lose against the spread by at least 7 points in every game played so far.
-VT has the worst margin against the spread of any FBS team, losing ATS by an average of 18.9 points per game.
So basically, Tech has been setting money on fire.
Fuente has even managed to fool Vegas...now that takes some doing
so what you're saying is... I won't get my quarterback?
You might get your quarterback. Based on what we saw last Friday, you might even get 3.
UNC -10 seems like a fucking gimme. GT is also defeated ATS....UNC just took Clemson to the wire and has looked good....on the other hand I went 1-7 in ACC pick ATS last week.
Also the O/u on BC Lousiville is at 61. That's too many.
I'm feeling the B1G matchups this week. I like Maryland (-13.5), anOSU (-20.5), and Iowa (+4.5).
Temple -10.5 $30
Michigan St +20.5 $25
Colorado -4 $30
VT +13.5 $15
Lewerke always lays an egg against decent competition. Michigan State has a good D but I don't see them holding off Ohio State all game
Ugggh, tough week. Only got the VT game right and risked the least on it
Everything on Auburn -3
No joke. I keep waiting for this line to move, but I just checked and it's still there.
Auburn at -2.5 now. Wild.
Not to be a dick (which I am) bit this did not age well
No shit. I went into this weekend fully expecting my auburn and UCF heavy bets to balance out a bunch of smaller long shot bets. Instead my long shot bet on VT is offsetting about half of what I lost on auburn alone. FML
Don't feel bad...I took UGA -14.5 in the first half (loss) only for them to cover the game...I am shit at this too
Still can't believe the line is so low. Miami's O is almost as bad as our's but their D seems pretty nasty. I expect them to win by 3 or 4 TDs unfortunately.
Yeah I'm really playing in my head with a Miami, UNC, Auburn parlay this week...seems silly not to.
my heart won't let me bet Miami...
Mine neither but my wallet will and it controls me.
Wish I kept this play im my head
ECU with the backdoor cover. Down, 27-10, gets a TD with 29 seconds left to start my weekend off with a bust. Good thing I cheated down a few points to temple (-8.5) for my parlay with them.
Just another reason to hate ECU!
Love Boise State -23 at UNLV. The Rebels have been getting blown out all year.
Auburn (-3) and UCF (-3.5) will pretty much dictate how my betting weekend goes. Both hit, I make at least a little money no matter what else happens. Neither? Then I hope the Hokies pull off a miracle cause it's gonna be a bad couple days otherwise.
Edit: well, FML. UCF
Solid picks...just read your Warning...as a math AND liberal arts double major all I can say is: ain't scurred
