Speaking of OT Hunters, Vampire Hunter D is in my personal all-time top 5 anime flicks. Killer story. Probably better than 99% of everything vampire related that was coming out contemporaneously, or since.

I'd like to see him on the field a lot a rover on Saturday. He needs to get the reps for next year.
I liked the 25 when it was special because it went to the best special teams player, and it would be even cooler if it was only made available to non-position starters. Give those young players and walk ons something to fight for.
Waller had a tackle on kickoff coverage. Punt coverage was Bradburn forcing a ton of fair catches, but Chatman, Quillen, or Ladler were always down in good coverage position. Not sure Hunter would be my pick.
I see this primarily as a move to keep him happy while he's backing up someone who's not performing well. I'd say it's pretty hard to put him in while Floyd is the incumbent starter and wearer of the #1 jersey, but Floyd's play has to be frustrating to sit behind. I liken this to something similar to giving Hooker reps when Willis wasn't performing. Hopefully he gets the jersey and a lot of reps this game.
If he had performed better when given the chance to spell Floyd, they would have made the switch.
I am thrilled Hunter picked VT. They needed him to pick VT for perception need even. But, there is nobody on this team whose starting job should be more precarious than Floyd and the fact that Hunter hasn't ripped the job away tells me the kid just isn't a great player. It happens.
Like I said in my review, I'd love to see Quillen get work at rover and move Floyd to the jack backer when VT goes 3-3-4
And there is nobody who will be happier than me if the light goes on and he suddenly becomes the next great rover at VT. By all accounts I have heard he has worked his tail off for the program.
Right, I agree. But also look how Hooker performed in his limited relief. Which is to say not very well. I'm just saying if it weren't Floyd with his place in the program, it might be easier to give Hunter a larger role, or even a start, to really give him a chance to show what he can do and get better through experience. What do you think about Connor at rover in the future?

Isn't the 25 dependent on practice performance, not prior game performance?
Last I heard, it was to honor the best special teams player from the last game.
Since it's been implemented, it has always been said by the team that it is for the player that performed the best in practice that week in regards to special teams play.

It cannot be difficult to run two of- tackle handoffs to Hunter. Just like the Redskins toyed with Champ Bailey at RB a dozen years ago and he ran for at least one TD doing it. If for anything, it would give Hooker the chance to set up the chance to a deadly bootleg deep ball to a one on one for Tre Turner.
