We have two early ACC matchups this week; Syracuse @ NC State on Thursday, and UVa @ Miami on Friday.
At noon on Saturday, ranked matchups start with the Red River Rivalry (OU vs Texas). GT @ Duke kicks off at 12:30.
At 3:30, Texas A&M somehow clings onto a ranking as they face Alabama for the lone ranked matchup. FSU @ Clemson and Michigan State @ Wisconsin might be worth the watch if the Delaware game is unavailable for you.
At 7:30, PSU @ Iowa presents a ranked matchup; USC @ ND and Louisville @ Wake provide a chance to watch a few future opponents.
The Gameday matchup kicks off at 8:00 featuring a top-ten Matchup between Florida @ LSU.
Late games of note are Hawaii @ Boise and PAC 12 after dark, which features the Huskies @ Arizona.

The Wolfpack and their horrible, no good, very bad visitors have been a tough game to watch.
Swapping over to see Jerod Evans' kid brother tear it up for ULM
Oh, no! Wrong team, Caleb
Caleb doing his best impression of David Wilson there! Way to make something out of nothing!
Alim McNeill (a kid we really wanted) is fun to watch. Sure wish we could have landed him.
NC State really needs to change their re-entry rule. Their stadium usually looks half empty in the 3rd quarter, but tonight you could tell people were leaving with like 10 minutes left in the 2nd quarter. It's just not a good look in prime-time games for a team that should be the premier program in NC.
I think it's a pretty decent week matchup wise. I'm really looking forward to Florida at LSU. #1 offense (at LSU, who knew?) vs #1 defense.
The RRS should be a nice 3.5 hour point explosion too.
I pretty much don't plan on leaving the house starting tomorrow evening. Lol.
I still, for the life of me, can't figure out why Miami is a one point favorite over Uva tomorrow (line may have changed since the last time I checked). Miami is coming off a baffling loss to us, playing on a short week against a well rested Uva squad coming off a bye week. Also, I think Perry is starting... Here didn't do so hot against Uva last year. Doesn't make much sense to me.
I think the money is looking at 2nd half Miami from our game and not 1st half / 1st Quarter turnover Miami... which to be fair hadn't shown up all season until they ran into DBU.
UVA has a good D though, with a really good pass rusher, so I don't think Perry will have time to dink and dunk 10-15 yard passes like he was able to against our prevent defense.
on the flip side, UVA has a running threat at QB that has been kryptonite to Miami's otherwise stout defense.
so yeah... how is Miami favored? lol
It's actually moved in favor of Miami. 2 point favorite. Lol.
I think Perkins gets sacked at least 6 times tonight. The UVA OL is worse than ours in Pass Pro.
As much as I do not wish to see Miami celebrate on the sideline with that god awful chain...
I'd be willing to bet they stressed TOs this week in practice and do to UVA what we did to them.
I went to the NC State game last night and let me say...the crowd was lame. The military appreciation events made it worthwhile, but overall I left thinking "what an underwhelming experience for a Thursday night game".
I also had no idea how annoying Syracuse fans are and their orange is ugly.
Wore my VT hoodie with pride and even met a few other Hokies there.
Interesting to hear. In my experience NC State fans are quick to defend themselves as one of the few ACC programs who actually consistently shows up for their games and creates a decent gameday atmosphere, and at least from TV it seems they are actually better than many of the ACC fanbases.
Well when the measuring stick is Lane stadium at night, I'd say they are left wanting. To be fair, Lane stadium hasn't been what it once was for awhile, but even in our "off" years I've still brought people who'd never been so they could experience it. The first half of the Notre Dame game last year being a perfect example.
Don't get me wrong, this was a much better experience than an away game at Duke or UNC.
Edit: They also played music over their marching band prior to the game, it was very odd.
Yeah I wasn't meaning to suggest they were up there with VT or Clemson's gameday atmosphere, just that they had a respectable one from what I had heard.
I don't know what your experience is with NCSU fans, but they are some of the worst in my experience.
To clarify again, when I say respectable I am referring to having mostly full stands and decent atmosphere, not necessarily their fans.
I definitely got that... For me, the fans made the atmosphere kind of weird. They are obnoxious enough that you'd think it would be a great crowd, but then its kind of "meh"

I feel kind of gross being "all about da U" tonight.
It's ok for tonight. Also, this chart says it's fine.

Now this is a pie (chart) I like. #teamcake
This image has more compression artifacts than UVA fans at their spring game.
Go Canes?
Pretty much
Dude I know this comment is over a day old... But your commitment to only using Star wars gifs is legendary
As much as we dislike Trevon Hill the guy just doesn't lose to uva. Their backfield is a second home for him
I got pumped when he tackled Perkins. Then I had to sit and think if that was ok or not.
Trevon Hill was listed as the punter on that last punt. Another spectacular job by ESPN.
You mean he didn't drop 50 lbs and learn to kick rugby style in the last 5 days?
And become an Australian hooligan.

But were there any low fives? /s
If Miami wins does that increase our likelihood of beating UVA? At least in our minds?
Bud Foster ain't losing to UVA his last season. Book it, we will get that Win in Charlottesville. The streak lives on
I certainly hope so. The cavs tears will be so much sweeter this year.
If Miami wins, it does increase our likelihood of winning the Coastal, not just in our minds, but also in reality.
Bryce Hall could be done for the year. Training staff just came out and covered his leg with a towel.
Yup. Air cast. Not good.
The air cast and carting off the field would agree with you.
Easily their 2nd best overall player....that would be a huge loss for them.
Not trying to add insult to injury but if he was a legit early round pick he made a terrible mistake coming back for this exact reason.
How many delay of game penalties should UVA have been called for and somehow weren't?
I have seen 3
Tack on an obvious missed facemask.
That was turrible. Just turrible.
This game has been a comedy of errors. O Line play, refs, all of it
Perkins is looking pretty good IMO. He hasn't had to make any really difficult throws, but he's making all of the easy throws and doing well to scramble and pick up extra yards when the play breaks down.
Perkins has a way of making almost all the easy throws and somehow making the difficult throws look even more difficult.
One thing is certain. UVA's defense is lightyears ahead of ours.
Maybe in a light year they'll actually beat us too.
They are better - but if Perry connects with just one of those long balls (he has missed 4?) it is a different story.
That and Miami decides to actually cover a receiver.
How did they miss the ineligible lineMEN downfield? Holy cow UVA got away with that one.
In watching the Miami-UVA game, I have been paying attention to linemen downfield on RPO pass plays. It appears that linemen get 5 yards down field all the time without drawing a flag.
Is there an effort to call this correctly?
Do coaches refrain from complaining on D since they want the same lack of penalties when they run the RPO?
Only one thing you have to remember - was the pass caught behind the LOS? I wasn't sure if the Kemp one was - but there was a lineman right on the line (3 yards downfield) at the time of the pass.
The big play before the fumble was 100% illegal.
I remember thinking Miami got away with lineman way, way too far down field on a big play against us as well.
Goodness gracious Dubois just got flattened.
I'm not sure whose offense sucks worse
He didn't have control, incomplete.
Joe Reed just skipping the middle of the field so UVA can just get down to business of stalling inside the Miami 25.
Amazing the clock is working correctly this week.
Why does every coach for UVA look constipated?
It's the brie
Well done.
Jefferson's fist up their ass?
Wait, I'm sorry, that's offensive, that's only 2 of my 3 cousins. To redeem myself, what's the difference between a porcupine and the classrooms at UVA?
Answer: On the porcupine, the pricks are on the outside.
edit: *Bourbon will get after ya*
Coastal Chaos in full effect...thanks Canes lol
Consolation prize: loluva won TOP.
Miami got us the help we needed. Time to start taking care of business. Still need help with Duke.
Wow, I didn't think 2 weeks ago I'd be talking about ACC title shot, but we gotta take care of business.
You might be the most optimistic football fan this side of the Mississippi
It's the ACC Wheel of Destiny. It was bound to pop happen.
Lol. Vegas knew something I didn't.
Guess they have the talent to make up for it.
Hey, always a good day when Uva loses.
LOL......
Let's go, Georgia Tech ramblin' wreck.
Why is the GT game on ACC network extra if there are no other ACC games on the network that early?
It's not really an ACCNX game. It's an RSN game. Still gotta throw some bones to that contract.
Why is Josh Jackson not starting for Maryland today?
Mid foot/ankle sprain.
So is the honeymoon phase over with Mike Locksley now that Maryland looks about as good as his teams did in New Mexico?
I don't think so. He's got a lot of leeway based on him being a DC native and this was supposed to be year 0 anyways.
What in his history not to mention what conference and division they play in will make this better in next 2-4 years?
USCe blew their shot at the win.
Kirby just said not so fast.
Wow that kicker for SC choked
Neither team in this SC-UGA game wants to win.
Just looked it up King and McClease have almost as many rushing yards as Feaster at USCe. Why did he choice them if they weren't going to use him?
I was about to post something similar. He doesn't have a lot of carries or yards for USC. If he had chosen us, he would've been clear RB1.
Maybe the scouting reports were accurate - that he simply isn't as good as his high school ranking.
Down goes UGA. Would love to see an upset of the Tide today
If every team loses and we win today, does that mean we go to #1?
Go Cocks!
I mean, Spurs Up!
Jeezus UGA. What does this say about our chances against UNC if they could beat SCAR and SCAR could beat UGA?
Absolutely nothing
And that's why we love college football!
Lol. You act like this isn't the ACC Coastal. Most chaotic of realms within the known universe.
Insert Drew Carey dot jpeg
Wonder what Taggart's buyout is, FSU fans surely know.
Ok Louisville π
Gah... This place is dead.
Wake Forest was down by 28. Emphasis on WAS.
28-21... With ten minutes left in the second. Lol
What in the ever loving fuck is happening in that game? 62-59 in regulation??
And pretty much decided by ACC refs having to review an onside recovery.
We are going to get BURNED!! through the air by Wake. Wake has me really scared.
GOACC
It's embarrassing for Wake at 5-0 and ranked in top 20 had such empty stands.
One of my biggest qualms about long term ACC success. Too many fan bases who just don't care. If they don't show up to games, they probably aren't donating much either.
Louisville-Wake gave us #ACCAfterDark
I guess since I watched his other video, he is showing up on my Youtube homepage. This time he is happy eating his prediction.
