Yet, there's more variety at the top. Alabama-Clemson doesn't look as clear of a lock as it has the last few years.
I've felt this way for 5-7 years now. Looking at 18+ in the polls has a lot of meh teams every year.
This is what will continue to happen with the consolidation of power in the top programs.

WOW! I thought that we would get about three top 25 votes after beating Notre Dame. I wear some dark maroon and orange tinted glasses, but Even I think they jumped the gun on this one.
That's awesome! There's not too many 5-2 teams so maybe coaches don't realize we have a PAIR of FCS wins. We're ahead of 6-2 Wyoming in votes and tied with 6-2 Air Force.

Yep. But if you went by both polls (coaches and AP), we have the most votes with 3, followed by UVA with 2 and Pitt with 1.
And that's called a diversified portfolio and that's really what you want.
