I think the odds are long for us today, but there is a tiny chance that VT could get it done if Hooker is healthy and Pollard is available for most of the game. No matter what, something will need to bounce VTs way for a win. Positive turnover count, a harassing defense, some kind of special teams win, something.
Really just hoping for a competitive game.

Honestly.. a bit more hopeful than I have been all season, minus the Boston College game, because obviously my hype and hope meters were off the charts prior to then. I'm actually anxious, and have been all week thinking about this game. I miss that feeling.
I think with Hooker or Patterson under center there's a different energy to the team. I think we'll continue to see some real fight in our team today. Ultimately, I think we come up short.
Edit: watching from home.

Same. This team is showing something we didn't see from last year's team: improvement over the course of the season. I don't know how the team will do but there's hope we pull a shocker, even if the most likely result is we don't.

If Quincy starts and we run the ball 50 times for >4ypc we can keep the defense fresh, shorten the game, and really give ourselves a chance. If Hooker starts we may have a chance in a high scoring game.
Either way just hoping for a strong showing but won't be crushed if it doesn't end well, but there's no room on the bandwagon if we win, especially if we win big.
Watching from Hardywood Westcreek. We're either going to hijack the one TV they have or crowd around my phone.

Excited to see if we can hang with a more talented team for a full game and push for an upset. I think we can learn a lot from this game as it is the only opportunity the rest of the way where we won't be playing a similarly mediocre team. Wake Forest being the best of the remaining ACC teams, but we're talking about a roster with TWO blue-chip recruits, total. Their record, being ranked, has a lot more to do with their schedule if we're being honest. For comparison, if we have 1-2 less turnovers against BC we are likely sitting on a similar one loss record. Not exactly convincing.
All that to say, this game is a different kind of test we won't see the rest of the way.

At work. Nobody else here today so I'll probably stream until halftime and then head home. Outlook on the game switching about every 30 seconds. Let's Go!!

Home, neutral as to expectation, but excited, as I always always am, to be getting to see the Hokies play football.
Glued to the game tonight, as well. Regardless of outcome, I will be passionately involved in college football for several hours, wishing and hoping all the way. Go Hokies, Go Heels and Go Down 'hoos.

Would be nice to beat the spread, no illusions of us winning unless everything goes perfect like in the shoe. Really hoping we are not the altar boy to their catholic priest tbh because my Notre Dame Alumni cousins will never let me hear the end of it if we get killed

Watching in the Westgate sportsbook in Vegas.
Mood...really feel good about this.
Put 50 on vt + 17.5
Put 10 on Vt money line at 7 to 1
Parlayed 15 on vt money line + over 58 pays 220.
Drinkin at 1030 am in Vegas....priceless.

Feeling good since I have no expectation of victory in this game, I hope we get out without any more injuries and make progress with our new offensive philosophy.
Wake Forest is looking good against NCSt

I feel pretty good about today. I hope we win, but I don't think we'll get blown out. Hoping for a close game but more importantly, no injuries for the good guys.
LET'S GO!!

Home, debating whether my sinus/throat issues are due to the smoke from the fire ~150 miles away, or if I'm getting sick. Either way, bourbon will certainly help, right?

Mood: upset but hoping. Team played very well..the "woah is me defense of the first few weeks seems to be gone which is encouraging. The offense is very sad. After a bye week I would expect more than "line 'em up and run it down their throats". I didn't see anything that made me think this coaching staff needs to stick around

Right now the rest of coastal is nervous.
Hokies were in that game whole way without our new starting QB, top flight punter and RB.
Lost a couple good defenders during the game, held a very good defense to 3 TDS, forced interceptions on a very safe Opposing QB.

The Underdog by Spoon
Notre Dame has no fear of the underdog, that's why they won't survive
Watching from home.
Mood will depend on available QBs and Pollard.

Well, we certainly had some luck, and took it down to the wire.
I would have liked to have gotten the win: it would have been amazing.
Mood: Same as every gameday. Blind optimism after convincing myself we have the edge. Go Hokies!
Location: Home with my roommates probably. Exam on Monday means I gotta study up until kickoff.
EDIT: Also where dat game thread at tho?
Watching from Charlotte with some other Hokies. Time to get another win at ND! Feeling meh though.
Where's your Charlotte game watching meet up location? I'm down in Rock Hill and we don't know any Hokies down here to watch games with.
Black fin in the place many Hokies go to but this weekend I met up with some fraternity brothers. You're more than welcome next time.
Home...and another week without a Meh Thread is going to feel really good.

Watching fro Breckenridge with blind optimism. It's gonna be a hectic ride back from keystone to turn the game on in time.
Who's starting at QB?
Watching from the bar likely no customers because everyone will be at the Nats parade.
Zero respect. Especially that Vegas line. Hope the boys play with a chip on their shoulders.
Comfort of my couch. I love you all. Fuck meh threads. Let's go!
Mood: excellent
Location: Halloween party at my brother in laws. Off the wagon today after 27 days!
Let's Go Hokies! It's game day fam!!
Home
Mood: Loving the idea of making a splash in a pool where nobody thinks we belong!
Optimistic that we will play this game well and we make it so ND has to play a clean game to beat us.
Watching... probably wont - I'll be celebrating downtown with the Nats.
Watching from home.

Until we play Clemson
Listening on the way home from car shopping. Then watching from the couch. Prepping for a Halloween party while that happens.
Mood is 50/50.
Feel better after seeing this. Maybe.
At home on the couch trying to find something to eat.
So after all the "news" about players today, let's just see the team go out and be physical and improve!
Heading to downtown to watch the game and then moving to a birthday bar crawl after the game.
And as always, there will be a football game played today.
At work. Nobody else here today so I'll probably stream until halftime and then head home. Outlook on the game switching about every 30 seconds. Let's Go!!

Patterson is starting...Bradburn is out with a hamstring...king didn't make the trip...but anyway...go Hokies!!!- from my man cave in Roanoke VA
watching from home in recliner. Hokies have a chance if there are zero turnovers and a couple of great special teams/trick plays!
Pretty sure we cover. Not sure if we win. Would've felt better if Nd won last week, but I think the Irish will be focused after the loss.

So you walked away with $20 profit from that? Not bad
Yep....still would have liked the win though.....
At the barn today.
Feeling good since I have no expectation of victory in this game, I hope we get out without any more injuries and make progress with our new offensive philosophy.

Beating Wake will likely require a big game from our offense. That's I game I doubt we can win if we score under 30.

Are you in SoCal?
No, Central Coast, the Kincade fire north of SF is the largest in the state at the moment
Feeling pretty good in Greenville, SC, but got the bag of Oreos ready just in case.
Smart move.
I feel like we'll be up a FG halfway through the third. Hopefully we can stop dropping passes and add to the lead and give the defense a rest
