Someone who knows more of the specifics can fill in the blanks or correct me, but Beatty made a quick trip around several VA high schools including a stint at Oscar Smith (recruiting rumors) in the 757 and, imo, rode the coattails of some recruits or a special recruit to U Md and has bounced around college programs as a recruiter. Nice of him to speak highly of Foster, but what else could he do? Not certain how good a dude he might be. Don't have first hand knowledge at all and don't like spreading anything (again someone with direct 757 knowledge can please respond). Always thought that he was looking out for number 1.

Harvin attended Landstown, I believe. Did Beatty coach at Landstown and Oscar Smith? Harvin went to FL and Beatty went to UMd, correct? Don't see the correlation. I certainly may have the story completely screwed up. Please someone connect the dots.

He was at a couple of Beach Schools during his coaching years in high school. That "special" recruit was the number 1 or 2 recruit in the country.

His wiki doesn't list Oscar Smith, and he didn't get to Murland til 2016. He coached Harvin at Landstown
