The only thing I know about my son's teacher (well therapist, as he's special needs) is that she graduated from Pitt.
He went to school today in a VT hoodie+polo+hat combo. Saw the daily report saying he was going around high fiving other kids and yelling "H-O-K-I-E-S!"
Anyway, back to hating the Hoos.

Why was he going around high?
Whoever dressed him was high. Who puts a hoodie over a polo?
I'll explain. It was kinda chilly today. Not jacket weather, but a hoodie worked.
Also, he's autistic and has some sensory issues. The clothes he can handle, he wears. Otherwise, he will rage against it. .
Additionally, he can only wear sweatpant type pants, as buttons and flys bother him. He wore a polo and track pants to my SIL's wedding because the suit was too much.
If he had a pair of VT pants, he would have worn them too.
They don't go with anything, even VT gear, buuut
VT flannel pants
White long sleeve t shirt with maroon sleeves.
That would match
I have an entire closet that matches.

My work here is done.
High on life because we shut out Pitt and Narduzzi was humbled
ummm... they're high cuz the hokies salted away the win?
I'm still trying to figure out where the pettiness is.
Was the teacher not amused?
Just wait, the pettiness will come when this thread devolves into some posters calling out other posters
Examples? Who specifically are you trying to call out here?

Hope he had a blast celebrating with his friends at school, the therapist will get over it.
A touch sensitive special needs kid going around high fiving everybody? The therapist better get the fuck over it.
sauce: special education instructional assistant for five years.
There, FIFY.
Love this!! As a teacher who has dealt with special needs including kids with autism, I think this is awesome!!! I would hope that the teacher/therapist appreciated the importance of his behavior even if it was an unintentional dig at her.
Gotta say the counselor at my daughters school is a UVA grad (I live in Arkansas so not many around).....I had my daughter drop off a condolence card in her mailbox at school after we beat them last year in football. She sent one home with my daughter during basketball season. Good times.
My oldest got her braces off yesterday. I had my maroon hoodie on. She had her maroon hoodie on. Several folks came in and out of the waiting room. Maroon and orange everywhere.
The orthodontist is a Wahoo. She stood between all the chairs and said, "This is not the week to do this, you guys are taking over today."
I would respond that this is absolutely the week to do this.
Only week that would equal the appropriateness is next week after we make it 16 straight.
Yes, proudly wore a VT shirt on Monday while in Charlottesville and UVA hospital offices.
I was expecting you to say:
The orthodontist would start working on you and while you're unable to talk with her hands in your mouth, she would explain to you how: "I went to UVA, therefore, I make more money than you."
In high school, one of my teachers who was a UVA alum thought my 'Stick It In' shirt that I wore about once a week during football season was funny until we beat them {again} to go to the ACC Championship Game in 2008. The Monday following the UVA game, he told me that I needed to go change out of it. I totally thought he was kidding at first. His face got red and he said he wasn't kidding. So what did I do? I out pettied him and went to my big time Hokie guidance counselor and told him the story. 20 minutes later, I proudly came back into his classroom with my little bird chest puffed out proudly. The teacher did grin and we were fine, but my goodness, there was enough pettiness that morning to shoot a political ad (myself included).
False. Coach Frank Beamer brings out the best in all of us and don't you forget it.
