Man, I just drove by Mom's Apple Pie here in Leesburg, VA around 8am - regarded as some of the best pies in Norther VA (if not VA) - and there had to be at least 250 people in line. Insane.

I awake every day to Pie. I get kisses from my Pie, sweet puppy kisses that is. Named for our all time favorite dog's nickname that predates TKP, I can attest and affirm that it is a pure pleasure to know I'll be having a lap full of Pie every day, and all day on Thanksgiving.

I made pecan pie like my grandma used to make for the first time last night. Havent had any like it since she passed 3 years ago. Really looking forward to getting into it. I actually made 2, one for me and one for everyone else.

I always try to make a favorite recipe from my grandmother, mother, or aunts. Even though they've all gone to Glory, I can feel the love as I bake. I hope you experience the same.

Would anyone care to share a favorite apple pie recipe? It's my husband's favorite, but he still prefers Publix Bakery to anything I've made. Mrs. Smith's reigned in my mother's kitchen so I don't have a family recipe to go by. Thanks!

My pecan pie is cooling now. Harvested the pecans a few weeks ago from a client's property and shelled them last night with a pair of channel locks. I'm too pedestrian to make my own crust though, so kudos to your for that. First pie I've ever made and have enough pecans to make another.

My wife is an outstanding baker but she never makes her own pie crusts anymore. She uses the refrigerated Pilsbury crusts and they are always flaky and taste great.

We're going the non-traditional route this year with Brownie pie. For those of you who are not having homemade pie today, I hope you get to experience something like this soon. Happy Thanksgiving to all!

I had a slice of Brown Sugar Pie and Pumpkin for family thanksgiving. We are going to my sister in law's sister's house for second thanksgiving later. I was told there are 31 children there. Praying for more pie.

I found out my Physical Therapist likes to eat Apple Pie with a side of cheddar cheese. I immediately thought of you French lol. Not my cup of tea either.

You would have though 52-10 or 38-0 BRO would've been more than enough humbling... guess it's one of those "maintenance medications" that must be administered for life

I wanted the streak to continue to 25 years and be able to send Bud off right, but it was going to end at some time. Give it to uva - they played better than we did; their qb (Perkins) was as advertised. I do not see them being able to win without him. Lets start a new winning streak next season. Go Hokies!

I love October, November and December that's SIX sweet potato pies. Birthday, Thanksgiving and Christmas!
Excuse me, it's always pie season.

They're legacy lives on!
We have apple pie, pumpkin pie, apple cake, caramel cake, and brownies (not sure if mom made any other pies or not)
Edit: I saw pecan pie when I went in the kitchen after watching the parade. My guess is she probably made egg custard pie too.

Slice of pecan pie and a glass of Jameson signature is not a bad way to spend a sleepy afternoon in case anyone was wondering.

Don't knock it til you try it, and that's beginner mode. Expert mode is when you bake the cheddar into the crust with a little bit of dry mustard too.
I've not seen a single pie at either of the family gatherings I've been to today. There was a carrot cake though. TEAM CAKE.
Edit: I unearthed a sad looking apple pie this morning 🤷♀️
Sorry you had such a bad Thanksgiving.
Sounds terrible
My aunt made grasshopper pie. Fuck it was amazing
I understand the football team is serving humble pie to the hoos on Friday.

I regret to say we got the pie in our face.

Love me some Pecan pie.
