Go Hokies!

H-O-K-I-E-S HOKIES!

The 2nd Hokie to be Miss America, congrats to her!

The 1st Hokie to be Miss America - Kylene Barker

oh, so this trophy case has been a lie all along!

Hokies: National Champs!

Someone needs to photo shop this into the case!

Even when you get skunked; fishing never lets you down. 🎣

My daughters entire bedroom is Shimmer and Shine!

Tweedy can run like a dadgum antelope or whatever. I like to use scalded dog. Do antelopes lumber? Cheetah, OK. He runs like a cheetah. He's fast. - Bud Foster

Kylene was as nice and as classy as they come. She used to eat at Owens when I was there, & always carried herself as if she never realized how beautiful she was, despite jaws dropping whenever she walked by.

Agree...I was probably there at the same time as you.

Not knowing her name, we called her "Cavalier"...she used to wear one of their jackets when she was a Fr.

Probably because her High School mascot was a Cavalier

ahhhhhh!

My high school too.

Hokie women are smart and beautiful, that's why I married one!

Deposit whiskey, receive wisdom.

My feelings precisely!

A decade on TKP and it's been time well spent.

Proud member of this club!

Bob: What would ya say ya do here?

Brad: I already told you! I iron out the minutiae so Justin doesn't have to. I have people skills dammit! What the hell is wrong with you people?

For almost 47 years, here.

Going on 4 years in this club

I was not able to land a Hokie as a wife, but my current wife claims she's a "Hokie by STD", so I got that going for me.

EDIT

Apparently I didn't see the same gif used below before posting this, so:

....which one?

She caught Meleagris Febricitantem

traditionally, I'd say she's overqualified for the position. Wicked smart, that one. However, this being TKP, I'll just say she's quite qualified.

That's pretty cool.

Congrats to her, and...

I just showed this to my wife and told her she's falling behind the pack.

/s I a smart enough to never tell my wife that.

She'd probably slap you with a cucumber if you did

Decent article on it (VCU is claiming her), but this quote is the best:
https://news.vcu.edu/article/VCU_pharmacy_student_Camille_Schrier_crowne...

Her talent—a dramatic science demonstration of the catalytic conversion of hydrogen peroxide that shot bursts of colored foam high into the air—launched her over many of the other finalists, who showed off more traditional skills such as dancing and ballad singing.

Someone posted a tweet that showed us winning the Miss America National Championship. I'm sure the naysayers will point out that it's still an individual national championship and not a team one.

it's still two more than LOLUVa has... (to be fair, I only checked the alma mater of Miss Virginia winners, there may be LOLUVa grads from other states that have one, but I'm too lazy).

"Too close to the house!", mom said.

Shoulda listened.

She's amazing! Good for her!

Also, random aside, has anyone else seen this Hokie Mentoring Connect program?

Fuente!: Hurry, tell all the recruits VT has the hottest coeds in the nation.... TRUTH!

Nice double post lol

I can imagine no more rewarding a career. And any man who may be asked in this century what he did to make his life worthwhile, I think can respond with a good deal of pride and satisfaction:
“I served in the United States Navy"

Roger Craig (Jeopardy) was a VT grad. No relation to Roger Craig (49ers) that I know of.

He's killing it too. But that Meggie girl is smart. It'll be fun to watch them go head to head in the finals. They've both shown they have the buzzer mechanics down too.

My wife graduated undergrad and grad school with Will. He's sharp. He knows a lot about a lot.
