Wrong. Look at the overhead bar. In the very beginning, there are two swings where the person crosses the bar. If you freeze at the high point where the person is furthest away from the camera, you can still see the bar. The person is facing the camera.

That dress is perhaps the most frustrating thing in this world. The dress is not black and blue and it is not white and gold. It's light blue and gold and it drives me crazy that 99% of the world is apparently blind.

You can also tell by how his legs bend. His legs would be broken if he was facing the building. And if they were broken that badly, I doubt he'd still be swinging.
Edit: Nevermind I have finally tricked my brain into seeing the illusion. His broken/non-broken legs are irrelevant, but it's obvious that he's facing the camera based on the fact that he goes behind the top bar and the support bars on the right side of the swing set.

To me, he is clearly facing the camera. It took me two days, and a little imagination, to see how people could see him facing the building. And even then, I can only see him facing the building for one swing forward. And then it goes back to facing the camera

Okay i can finally see the illusion both ways. It depends if you think the person is tilting their legs to their left or right. The crossbar proves which way is right.

Anyone who doesn't say camera, idk what frame of references you're using visually but you may need to be concerned. His legs are clearly curled and body angled In a way that only makes sense if it's towards the camera. But what makes it 100% certain is when he straightens his legs to gather momentum for the next swing he's clearly about to swing back towards you

They are swinging towards the camera. Nice illusion though.
I saw it they way you did the first time, but the second time it was going the opposite.
The "I'll bet you $500" convinced me. lol
Away from the camera, no questions about it. If you think towards, you are wrong.

Okay I did this and you are right about the bar. I don't get how the legs are facing backwards though?
He's swinging through a parallel universe so he's simultaneously swinging towards and away from the camera.
Someone has been watching the OA
The guy's name is Laurel and he's wearing the blue & black dress swinging towards the camera!

Whichever way he swings...
This is what I came here for
I don't know how you see anything other than facing the building?
He is going left to right and right to left.
Seems obvious he is swinging toward camera what am I missing?
I thought this was internet trolling when I first saw it come up. He is very clearly facing the camera.
To prove to those who think otherwise; watch his backswing, he goes behind the top bar.

He is swinging towards the camera. Not sure how anyone would think otherwise. He clearly goes behind the top bar in his backswing

Facing the camera. Not sure what anyone else is seeing here.
Not that I so much care.

Can I have those 8 seconds of my life back?
No and now that you checked to see what I wrote, that's another 29 seconds lost. Haha
Take your freaking leg
facing the camera

Towards the camera. It took me a while to see the other way, but the top bar and support bars tell the truth.
How I feel about this illusion:
Personal favorite application of the meme, but I didn't realize it started with that one.
This is a good one too 🤣
Either way it's creepy, and one of the main characters won't make it through the next scene.
I came here for the porn....
