Nosal's the one that sacrificed part of his pinky finger to keep playing his last season, right?
What is it with our players and jacked up pinky fingers?
I would guess most lineman have broken at least one finger during their playing careers. It seems just be part of playing the position. You see guys with taped together fingers all the time.
It didn't break, my man, part of the damn thing got ripped off.

Yeah, but how many have part of their finger torn off, then tell the trainers to put it on ice til after the game, and keep playing?
Fun fact I learned at the ER last week thanks to my daughter and a door - you have about 6 hours from the time of the injury until you need to re-attach before you run into issues. Plenty of time to finish the game and get fixed up afterwards, right?
We're going to need you to finish this story.
Kids were at a friends house playing a game that apparently involves lots of opening and closing doors. Bunch of kids piled into a closet and someone closed the door. My 7 year old didn't realize her finger was in the hinge crack of the door and when it closed it took the last inch or so of one of her fingers almost all the way off. Just hanging on by the bottom little bit of skin. Not actually a ton of blood was involved but an ER trip was quickly decided on by the mothers. I was able to meet them there and after some x-rays and waiting a little bit they numbed the finger and stitched it back up. Lots of ibuprofen and antibiotics, but not much else to do but wait for it to heal. They say it should be good as new other than a little scarring. They also deal with this injury about once a week between kids and adults. My daughter took it like a champ.
Wow. I was waiting on a story that involved your finger getting lopped off because of something your kid did accidentally. I have a 4 yr old and my life is like a slapstick comedy where she just goes about her merry life while I get injured because of her carelessness and aloofness.
Sorry, but all I could think of reading this was Fackler from the Police Academy movies. š¤£š¤£š¤£
Lol thats more like Mindy and Buttons from Warner Bros Animaniacs. #OldSchoolCartoons
I'm just sitting here chuckling at the "Old School" hashtag when comparing and contrasting Animaniacs vs Police Academy.
Early contender for understatement of the year.
What????? He never played running back!!!!
I am assuming s/ for this post.
Does not matter if you played the position to coach it. I would think O-Line actually translates pretty well when it comes to blocking schemes.
This makes me think of a perfectly blocked play where the RB misses the hole and the epic ass-chewing to follow.
RB "coaching" is overrated. If Nosal can recruit some good backs and break down film with them in terms of the scheme they are running, he will be fine. RB is a position that is 85% instinct and vision- which is not coach-able. Balance is 5%.. the 10% that is coach-able- how to hold the ball without fumbling, how to block on blitzes, Nosal will be fine I'm sure.
You can coach up blocking and route running from the backfield, but not much to be done for field vision and hitting the holes hard.
So you're okay with the Lechtenberg hire now?
Here's the actual release.
I'd hate to see what happens when a RB fumbles with an excuse short of missing finger.
Is there another Hokie on Staff aside from Nosal? It looks like their website is not updated. I see a Michael Brewster...almost fell for it thinking it was brewer
Scot Loeffler is HC
Their QB coach is I believe a former Offensive QC for us in the Lefty days.
Dwayne Lawson's HS coach?
Got the pleasure of sitting behind his parents at the GT game in 2010. Shook his dad's hand.
Greg has to be the biggest RB coach in college football
My cousin dated him her Junior? Year. Good dude and always glad to see a Hokie moving up in the world.
Is he the one who's dad published a letter publicly because of all the fans who shit talked about the O Line?
The boxing glove on a stick not only lives, it grows.
I wonder if he will bring a boxing glove on a stick?
