You need to adopt a hockey team. Football starts in late August and effectively concludes in January, which is about when hockey starts to get really interesting. The NHL playoff (best postseason in all of sport IMO) starts in April and ends in June.
Then you go to the beach, and before you know it minicamps start.

The long, long offseason gets tough later on, but honestly there are some football seasons that are so stressful I really enjoy the first few months of increased weekend freedom.

When will the ACC announce the schedules for next year? We are always the last conference to put out the schedule. And I don't understand why. Never mind, John Swofford, that's right.

If the last 2 years are good examples, the 2020 football schedule should be released this week. The last two seasons were released on Jan 17 and Jan 16.

I know...it's just that college football is a bit special, isn't it-gonna miss it. And watching re-runs of games ain't gonna cut it for me.
As a teacher, I've realized it helps my mental health to count Fridays. So in this case, only 32 more Saturdays until College Football!
