The Hokies play Wake Forest at Wake Forest tonight at 9PM. The game is on ACCN. Wake is 8-7 overall, 1-4 ACC; 4-2 home overall, 0-2 home ACC. 4 of their 7 losses are to ranked teams and a fifth team is receiving votes. Two of their ACC losses are to ranked teams; their one ACC win was a close win at Pittsburgh.

Looking at the records might lead you to believe this will be an easy win; but this is an away game against an ACC team. Wake was the only team picked to finish below the Hokies this year; but this is a game to be very cautious about. Wake has played a much tougher schedule than the Hokies and have more experience and more height than the Hokies. It will be interesting to see what kind of defense CMY brings out for this game. Wake has a 7 footer inside and has a couple of guys who can make 3s. Childress is their primary threat from 3; but everyone on the team except Massoud has scored from 3. As CMY says, if we shoot well from 3, we win. We should be the quicker team. Hopefully, we can keep Wake off balance on defense. If Nolley has another good game and at least one other player shoots well, this should be a win. If Nolley is not shart, someone else (Radford?, Cone?) is going to have to step up in a big way.

Prediction: VT pulls so far ahead that one of the walk-on players purposely misses two foul shots so that everyone in the stands can get a free chick-fil-a sandwich. After the game, VTMO is filmed digging through trash for ticket stubs that were thrown out so he can have a sandwich party later.
