Popeye's Chicken the latest to adopt that Hokies look.

By now you probably have already seen that Beyonce in collaboration with Adidas x IVY PARK released a line in a very familiar color scheme:

Well, Popeye's has now released their answer

I noticed that during the sandwich hype that the uniforms were VT colors. The orange hat does look good with maroon.

I wish they would wear all orange just once. I think future employees would eat that up.

No way, they wore all orange in Q2 of 2015 and the stock price took a nosedive on earnings release. Not bringing those back anytime soon.

Employee's uniform colors have no effect on stock price. You could nitpick times where employees wore all maroon and the stock price took a hit.

Well the manager needs to be prepping for this weeks specials and not worrying about what the employees are gonna be wearing.

How do you expect to attract top talent when you won't let them wear the full range of brand colors? These are 16-18 year old kids they're recruiting.

Look, maybe I'm just old school but I see Chick-fil-a wearing the same thing for years and they don't have trouble attracting top talent. I know they have a larger customer base and a slide and a ball pit and Sunday's off but what it really comes down to is establishing a brand and a culture. I turn on my tv and see a Popeyes ad with employees wearing orange I don't even know what I'm looking at!

When I want a fast food chicken sandwich, I'll go for the best available that I can get any day of the week. I would, however, drive a little further to get this Popeye's sandwich, with Bo as a back up.

Bo's has Cajun chicken biscuits at all times.

A decade on TKP and it's been time well spent.

I bet if they had an all white option with a maroon cap, it would really attract recruits.

Take the shortest route to the ball and arrive in bad humor.

wonder where there recruiting grounds are principally. Obviously, they get a lot of instate talent from Louisiana, but I wouldn't be surprised if they pulled some top talent from Texas, Florida, or even Maryland.

If VT social media doesn't hop on this train with a direct link to VT merchandise they've failed.

VT Class of '12 (MSE), MVBone, Go Hokies!

If you're expecting our social media team to effectively capitalize on this I have some bad news for ya.

Trust me, I'm not. Just stating the obvious I suppose.

VT Class of '12 (MSE), MVBone, Go Hokies!

MV7 needs to show up and put all them in their respective places.

The spicy chicken sandwich from Popeyes is the real deal. It's still annoyingly packed around here though, and they still run out of them periodically. What an incredible business decision by them.

WTF Bojangles?! How you gonna get beaten to the punch like that?

I can imagine no more rewarding a career. And any man who may be asked in this century what he did to make his life worthwhile, I think can respond with a good deal of pride and satisfaction:
β€œI served in the United States Navy"

Colors aside, I hate it.

Not wearing pants is a VT thing?

That's not January in Blacksburg.

But yeah, maroon and orange is a thing.

Not wearing pants is a VT thing?

Oh you didn't know?

So even though Popeyes wants you to believe that they are Louisiana to the core, they are owned by a company from Toronto, Canada. And have been for a very long time. The only southern based chicken place is BO.

Popeye's was founded in New Orleans, even if they are owned by an international corporation.

Bojangles was founded in Charlotte, and is privately owned.

I think with fast food, you're going to have to let your taste buds dictate your choices.

Chick-fil-a? Or is GA not the south?

Fried chicken not just chicken sandwiches.

ah, fair enough.

Family Dollar has Hokie Colors too.

Ehh, it's really more of a burgundy.

Yeah, probably more in line with Susquehanna University...

That's a lucky bike

Yes sir

I just wish it was cookout instead of popeyes. Popeyes is more southern. Cookout is more Appalachia.
