TL;DR - This guy helped lead the creation of Cornell's Roosevelt Island Tech Campus. As someone who applied (and was not admitted) to Cornell's Tech MBA, I think this is a great move. The program was/is pretty revolutionary, and has become one of the (very) few prestigious one-year MBA programs.
Additionally, as someone in the tech industry, I'm pretty disappointed with the quality of VT's CS and IT programs. I'm hoping that the professional connections sparked by the innovation center will help improve this.

This is an excellent hire. Really exciting to see
That looks really promising. Excellent hire - a guy who has already done this.
The first building they are proposing to build for this campus is going to be pretty cool. Their goal is to get Net Zero certification. It would be the second net zero building on the east coast after United Therapeutics built theirs a few years ago in Silver Spring.
Another excellent hire by Whit!
Are you kidding me? He hasn't ever coached P5! Is this how far we have fallen that we are taking guys from the Ivies? /s
