TAILGATE - Football at MTSU - SAVE THE DATE - Saturday 9/19/2020

Excited for 2020? Can't make it to Blacksburg this season? Want to see our Hokies play in a new locale? Well, we've got a great opportunity for you!

Virginia Tech will play the MTSU Blue Raiders on Saturday, Sept. 19th, and the Nashville Hokies will be throwing an alumni tailgate to celebrate!

The game is right in Nashville's backyard, so you can enjoy all the fun city attractions AND get your Hokie Football in too!

Official details are forthcoming. If you're interested in attending, please fill out our form here so that the Nashville Hokies chapter can begin to gather headcount and form a contact list.

Thank you!

Will you be providing the bachlorette parties or do we have to bring our own? 🤔

I can imagine no more rewarding a career. And any man who may be asked in this century what he did to make his life worthwhile, I think can respond with a good deal of pride and satisfaction:
“I served in the United States Navy"

{Slow 80's clap}

If there isn't a bachelorette party or two on your flight to Nashville, I'd be surprised

I'd love to but I just got a real save the date for that weekend. OUTLAW FALL WEDDINGS.

(add if applicable) /s

That's when you politely but firmly tell them that they are no longer your friends.

Fall weddings are okay, as long as you schedule them before or after the game like we did ;)

VT2MTSU - lets how them how well we travel and take over their stadium!!

This!!^^^
My daughter was an MTSU cheerleader, she graduated in 2013. We spent many games in those stands. MTSU stadium is never full. We need to turn those bleachers Maroon! The stadium holds about 30k - so this is doable.
Murfreesboro is about 30 minutes SE of Nashville along I-24. The "Boro" has grown a ton since my daughter was a freshman there.
The tailgating scene is in The Grove on the south side of campus. There would be plenty of room if a VT oriented tailgate crew wanted to set up there.
We might make it there. We are selling our townhouse there next month.
Key Fact: If you buy property in TN and place your kids name on the deed, they are immediately a resident of TN and get TN in-state tuition. That was a huge benefit to our family.

Thank you for that, I will be going to college in TN next semester and could really help out!! My dad, A Louisiana Tech alum.. we always travel to MTSU when the dawgs play there. The stadium and campus are very nice would it would be the perfect location for any Hokie to make a road trip, easily could make the 30k stadium 60-70% HOKIE.

From one Kyle to another...hope to have you at the game, and as many football watch parties as possible!

I'll be a country music fan for a weekend sure

Screw that. Nashville has a really good indie rock scene. Lots of good bands coming out of East Nasty.

Stay safe Nashville, scary pictures from this morning

Thank you - we are slowly but surely getting back under our feet as a city. Luckily, my family and home were not affected but there's lots of people who still need help.

A good opportunity for Tech fans to turn an opposing team's stadium into maroon and orange. Middle Tennessee rarely ever has a good turnout for football games.
