You had me at tacos
"Oh Ben, I love you so much, you almost make me forget about...tacos"
If you're looking for food shows, the chef show is awesome. It's Jon Favreau and Roy Choi (Jon's consultant/trainer for the movie Chef). I love how it's so casual and just feels like people hanging out and cooking or talking about food.
I mean, it's no show about burritos, but then cake it not pie, either.
I mean, it's not hard to stretch a taco to a burrito.
Great show. Taco al pastor is by far my favorite taco. Something I sorely missed during my years at Tech.
Those basket tacos got me, Chicharron tacos sound amazing. Also those pork tacos looked amazing, like Mexican BBQ.
Tacos de canasta are also excellent. So warm and tasty, you can get them for anywhere from .35 to .50 USD. The truth is you can't go wrong with either. Plus what I like about tacos de canasta is that they're mobile. Since they move around you can find them literally anywhere. Tacos al pastor require a trompo which makes them almost impossible to move. They weight anywhere from 100 kg to 300 kg.
I will have to give it a shot.
In related news, if you are looking for a cooking show that is more cooking and less "im throwing a party for my best friend and here is what im making..." America's Test Kitchen has tons of complete episodes on their YouTube channel.
Gordon Ramsey's ultimate cookery course on prime is also excellent
You are an evil man for sharing this, Fireman!
I watched al pastor last night before bed, and was drooling the whole time. I wanted to get on a plane to Ciudad Mexico RIGHT THEN just to get some tacos al pastor, but I couldn't. And then I dreamt about flying to Ciudad Mexico and just as they were handing me a fresh taco al pastor my alarm went off, and I woke up without a taco in my hand.
My heart breaks for you.
Not to hijack the thread, but "Tiger King" on Netflix is freakin bonkers and an excellent time killer during self isolation
We just watched the first two episodes. Batshit crazy like you read about.
Its the most ridiculously hard to believe true story on netflix
