I think MLB should start in late August. Every team plays just 32 games, 8 games apiece against their division rivals.
Take the top 4 in each league, first round best of 5 series, then your NL/AL CS , and the World Series. Playoffs with team that havn't played each other until it all mattered. I would tune in.
You probably aren't far off. I don't see any chance of them restarting before July. Maybe June if we are really lucky but I don't think we will be.
